As of last week, the draft between RAW, ECW, and Smackdown! had been completed.
"And what a draft it turned out to be!" declared Jim Ross, one of the commentators. "Ladies and gentlemen, here are the Divas for tonight's match! Jillian versus The Titaness!"
Behind the stage, another blonde-haired woman waited, smirking as she heard her name called. She let the other Diva walk out first. Jillian was ... how to word it?
Foolish, she finally inwardly decided, chuckling softly as a pale hand raised and moved several champagne-colored strands behind her ears.
A lot of girls Samantha had known declared they wanted to grow up being the more ... 'traditional' jobs. Doctors, actresses, lawyers, cops, teachers --- things of that nature.
But ever since she'd first laid eyes upon the WWE show. Even at the young age of 9, when the "New Generation" Era had just started up in 1993, she knew exactly what she wanted to do. She wanted to join the ranks, to become one of the most popular and well-known women in the wrestling rosters.
To help ensure her chances would increase, she joined in the toughest sports; football, basketball, hockey, high school wrestling; anything that was very physical in nature.
"Really though," she mused softly, "JBL? Eww. She could have been around someone much better than that loser."
But that was probably why she had given up on managing him as of about two years ago, as well as MNM. It, in Sam's mind, was by far the best decision she'd made.
Her worst?
Accepting this match, of course ...
Samantha Hamilton had made quite the impact upon debuting into RAW. Her first day had been February 12, 2007. Despite being relatively new, though, she proved to be more than only a 'pretty face'. Suffice to say, her breaking the stereotype most definitely didn't go unnoticed, as many of the men often tried to make immature advances on her.
Alas, The Titaness was a feminist at heart and denied all of them. She had standards, for crying out loud.
I guess some people just don't get that ... she thought, snapping out of her thoughts as her introduction song started up.
The usual combination of boos and cheers echoed in the air; yet Samantha didn't care to pay heed to the more negative reactions. She was finally doing what she'd wanted for years and she was damn proud of herself.
Within moments, the six foot tall woman entered the woman, shooting a sly grin towards Jillian as she got into a stance, preparing to rush forward once the bell rang.
"Last chance. If you wanna bail, best do it before the bell rings."
