            Joyous. A new thread! I have some new things I'd like to try out.
            I will not accept plain, generic characters or partners, for that matter ;]
            Please have a strong grasp of vocabulary, punctuation, capitalization, etc.
            My roleplays are done in past tense and third person only.

                        soothsayer x bear demi-god

                        Unfazed by his father's unfortunate demise a year ago, the young ruler of the were-bear tribe, a tribe of immense, ruthless warriors, has taken the throne and has began to once again rebuild the torn remnants of the broken kingdom. To his dismay, the young prince quickly learns that he is assigned a wife to bare his child and continue his legacy if the same fate as his father is to befall himself.

                        One evening he leaves his kingdom which is hidden within the crater of a dormant volcano and decides to collect himself before his wedding. It is along his journey that he meets a whimsical soothsayer who spells demise for himself and his people. She warns that a great evil craves his peoples' blood as well as their land, and if he does not arise and take a stand, he and his people, along with his kingdom, will fall in a sea of red. The young prince is yet again unfazed, though interested in this soothsayer and her precise, descriptive visions. He befriends her and quickly learns that she is shunned by humans for her gift and he suggests that she return with him to live with his people. After realizing that she would be a brilliant addition to his council as well as their defenses, he finds himself slowly admitting that he is falling in love with this beautiful, ostentatious spirit.

                        Merely a day after his return home he finds that the soothsayer's predictions are coming to fruition, and even if he and his people are to survive this horrible fate ... it is written in stone that he is to marry his fiance, but how could this be when he's madly in love with a human?

                        were-bear knight x common woman

                        He has a secret, he has hid it for years from his king and his loyal soldiers. In exchange for his younger sister's spirit, which was threatened by a sorceress who wanted to steal her youth, he was cursed; imbued with the spirit of a mighty, feral grizzly bear that the people of the kingdom so immensely fear. Over the years the knight-captain has learned to deal with the random transformations, but it interferes with his life and his duty. It is one evening that he visits a small village outside of the kingdom that he accidentally transformed and is brutally attacked and left for dead by villagers. A woman finds his body naked body in the river the next night and cares for him. She is unaware of his curse for now, and the knight feels oddly at ease with her. Midway through recovery he learns that the king has sent for his retrieval after he went missing. He bids this new friend adieu and travels back to the king's castle, only to have the same woman that cared for him attend a royal meeting in the king's chambers days later. He learns that she is an enemy to his king and she is here with her people to discuss a peace treaty. The king declines and her people prepare to depart, though the knight begs the woman to stay. He brazenly asked if she had seen his 'other form' during the evening she cared for him. Without thinking he reveals his secret, though to his surprise ... she accepts his burden. Their relationship instantly strengthens, though there is seemingly no time for a hidden romance when their two corresponding factions are about to go to war.

                        artist x gang-leader/drug kingpin

                        A young artist attempts to break the barricade between under-ground and mainstream; she decides to contribute to an up and coming new artist showcase in a local museum. She finds herself immensely inspired after the death of her brother who she knew was involved with gang violence, but she had no idea that he was a drug king-pin. During the show gunfire rips through the building. Because she is related to her brother, she's fingered as an affiliate to him, as well as a successor to his business. With no one to run her brother's successful trade the city's gangsters, thugs and gang-bangers have went haywire trying to take the reigns. However, one unlikely gang leader, a good friend of the late drug kingpin, decides to take the woman in after her ordered hit. He realizes it's dangerous; his initial idea was to manipulate her into helping him take control of her brother's empire, but he then realizes the the rabbit hole runs a little deeper then primarily expected.

                        engineer x android

                        A prestigious engineer, known as the most skilled and knowledgeable in the modern world, has been crafting technologies to preserve the environment and reduce general waste excretion. He was a loving man, and after losing his wife to an illness, he fears for the safety of his daughter. In his spare time he begins crafting an intricate piece of machinery, a type of cyborg; an android meant to guard his daughter and be a companion for her in the years to come if something were to happen to him. During one fateful night he is confronted by two representatives from a private organization weaponry organization. Aware of the scientist's oath to never make weapons to harm the human race, the representatives offer him an unbelievable sum of money along with a few other perks in exchange for his brilliance to help craft harmful weapons. The man refuses. The head of the company isn't necessarily pleased to say the least. He comes to a conclusion that if he can't wield the greatest mind in the world then no one can.

                        The scientist was found dead the following morning.

                        Years later his daughter, a successful engineer, follows almost unnoticed in her father's footsteps. She wishes to make his dream come to fruition. Day after day she works on the android, following her father's notes accordingly. However, history repeats itself, and the same men that murdered her father come looking for her expertise.
