Links | Aida's Bunnies No fluffy mammals were harmed in the making of this thread. Hello! This is the cage, uh, I mean, the cozy home for all of my plot bunnies. Yes, bunnies are cute and lovable. Obviously. But it's important to remember that they make a mess in gardens, with all their burrowing, carrot stealing, bunny loving, etc So it's best to keep them separate. And oh my god does this analogy fall apart when you realize I put them in a Greenhouse. Honestly? I like how it sounds more than Den or Burrow. Even though they're admittedly more reasonable choices. Oh, well. As long as my Garden's safe. Most ideas here are pretty flexible. I don't want to say I'm married to every detail, especially since I don't want to scare off any nifty tweaks. Still, though, I hope you respect the spirit of the plot bunny. My main characters are generally female. I can write people of other genders on the side for a story, but women are my go-to for center stage, whether the story's sexual or not. Also, player gender doesn't matter to me. Play your gender. Don't play your gender. It's all good, except on the unlikely event that it's all bad. (Which is so subjective, I know.) The Seeking part is about character gender, not player. I like multiple characters, but that won't necessarily be involved in all the ideas. Check my F-List for more information. Although, just because something's not on my list, doesn't mean I won't be interested. Ask! The worst that can happen is that I'll say no. I figure, I'll make a post for each genre I have story ideas in, then just make updates. I dunno. The important thing to remember is, don't post in this thread. PM me any interest you have. Thanks! |

She kept her head down. She did her job, tending to the seals forged on the edge of her property. It was unclear who made them in the first place. Her Nan said their family did, but Nan loved stories, not truth. And Nan, besides, was dead. Her lies no longer mattered. What mattered was that one of the seals broke and she had no idea how to fix it. There was no procedure, no precedent. Just an old grimoire, locked away where she shouldn't reach, except she could. She was strong enough to get past the lock and, when people started to go missing, desperate enough to try. A summoning spell sat right on the first page she opened the book to. She chose to believe it was fate, said the incantation, spilled the blood of a virgin from her veins. A large, alien figure appeared and she didn't even care. New emotions pressed behind her eyes. A foreign voice pushed in, uninvited, and said, "Hello." Willow in the Wind "An open door goes both ways." This is about a deep connection and two strangers somehow finding common ground. They have an emotional connection, but can't read each other's minds or anything. I find that invasive and boring.
Fine with any gender main character, but leaning towards female. I'm fine with either role and if you decide to play the witch (or I dunno, warlock/wizard if you've got a thing about names' gender) we can change the little blurb of backstory I put up, of course. The familiar should be alien, but humanoid. Nothing too wild, because honestly, I expect some smut.
Demon & Falling Angel Supernatural Seeking: Male or FemaleElements Redemption & Corruption | Power Dynamics | BDSM | Light S&M | Religion | Dominion "They who made you...They made me too. Quiet, like you. Violent, like you." Sometimes she remembered her old name and it burned. Sometimes she liked that. She'd let the heat simmer through her, build up until it hurt the way the infernal flames hadn't in years. But like everything else, it faded, until nothing remained. Nothing but blank spaces, wretched her, and... ...and memories of them. Imagine her surprise when they meet again. The quote's from the song, Fish by Wye Oak
I'm using they/them pronouns for the Angel because they can be male or female. Sorry if it's confusing. It'd make sense, also, if you prefer to play a gender neutral Angel. Though, I'll be honest and say my interest depends on how you intend to present the gender. This could go a number of ways. That's why I included 'Redemption' and 'Corruption.' I'm leaning towards a Demon who longs for redemption seeks out an Angel she once admired for their staunch righteousness. Only, time has changed them and she meets them in the midst of their descent into corruption.
Queen & Rebel Leader Low Fantasy Seeking: MaleElements Court | Confinement | Sexism | Manipulation | She couldn't understand, but understanding demanded reason and his had long past fled. For years, she called him brother and brother he was, in all but blood. She took him by the hand and led him to greatness that should've been hers. She'd fought for it. She'd sat up awake at night, mind too alive with the hunger. And still, she gave no complaints, because weeping was for children. He, however, had no such qualms. Perhaps because no one demanded maturity of him, he gave none. Insolence became his mother tongue and defiance a cloak he wore well, but it doesn't matter. His foolhardiness had yielded her birth right and the day has finally come to end it. Her troops have caught him and his insurrectionists on the border. Sacred Rites "When your head was cold, upon it we placed a crown. When your hands reached out, in them we left a scepter. We fell prostrate at your feet and all for naught. You are never satisfied." They can be distantly blood related, but a point of her resentment is that her father passed her by for the crown because she's a woman. Also, while I put 'Queen' in the pairings to avoid confusion, I prefer and intend for her to be adressed as a King. There's only one ruler and his concubines. (While Kings have been overwhelmingly male, there has been the odd female ruler. There's no actual law against it. A man is simply preferred.)
We can tweak the premise (which is true of all my ideas) depending on what you want to change. Alternative: Kingmaker & King. I'd be playing the Kingmaker. It'd be similar except she never becomes King, he does. |
