Katherine’s fingers deftly flowed across the keyboard and her eyes focused on the bright screen in front of her. Currently she was focused, constantly shifting her attention between paper and screen, clicking away at the keyboard with various pacing as she changed tasks at a second notice. When something was easy she would have a light smile and her speed would increase, but when there was a difficult portion of her work she was scrunch her nose up and purse her lips as she quickly adjusted herself for the task at hand. Occasionally she would pause to write a note or answer the phone, or even speak to those who came by the desk with an appointment, but usually she was absorbed in her own little world, working.
Katherine worked tirelessly as a secretary, almost her entire day dedicated to her job to the point of insanity, but that insanity was the very reason she had her current position. She worked directly under the CEO, her speed and unreasonable dedication the only reason she could single-handedly satisfy the businesswoman’s needs. There was another reason she worked so hard, but if she didn’t the demands of the job would easily swallow her whole. Fortunately she seemed nearly perfect for the job, from her experience and dedication to her appearance.
Katherine was gorgeous, tall and leggy with an hourglass figure, her ample curves and feminine features enough to drive anyone wild, and yet it was hard to see. Katherine’s beauty, while existent in a subtle way, was completely reigned in for the position she was in. Her brunette locks pulled up in a bun, sleek glasses pressed up her nose, high heels, pantyhose, and a skirt and blouse. For her it was a uniform, different pieces but the same setup day after day, almost bland in its repetitiveness. To Katherine it was all about the job and coming off professional to those who walked in the door, a first impression for anyone who was looking to do business with her boss. Her interactions followed the same professional manner, always polite but a bit distant, keeping an arm’s length from personal.
It was nearly the end of the day when she received an urgent email for her boss, her eyes scanning the contents before printing it off and resolutely standing up. Generally, when there was an appointment or meeting taking place she didn’t dare interrupt, this time it was different, it was something she had been told to keep her eyes open for, and she didn’t dare wait this time. So she stood up, taking a deep breath and adjusting her clothes, and then walked to the door and into the office.
