New York, New York was known for many things: the people, architecture, food, transits, being the most popular tourist attraction of he United States and finally it's museums. So many large luxurious places where the rich threw away their money on ink and the name of the artist. But the world wasn't always like that. There had been a finesse to art, a pride in making something even the gods themselves looked upon in awe and admiration. Or well, that's what Galatea thought to herself as she was moved from one grand museum to another, large rooms, small, cramped or all alone she was the only thing that truly saw the world from the eyes of the artwork.
The The Frick Collection was where she was staying at the moment having been... Well she didn't know why she was here really, just knew that she was and she was to stay for several months. It was always exciting to her when she moved having been bored with the last museum she had been at. the Frick Collection was in a large 18th century mansion, opened to the public and had walls upon walls of art, statues inn the garden and a large hedge maze where people were warned to take maps with them at all times.
Students all the way from elementary to college visited the private collection to study and learn some college students finding in turn jobs as well as real jobs after college with the museum.
Of course Galatea didn't know all of this just quite yet but she was oh so eager to learn. She was excited for the museum to close as streams and streams of people looked upon her on her pedestal in the middle of the enclosed garden in the middle of the house. She didn't understand why people liked to look at her so much she was only a figure. She was a simple statue really, sitting upon uncared marble stone, fish on either side of her acting, her stone gaze was turned to the side as if watching the flowers grow, while her breasts were exposed and a piece of stone material laid on her lap expertly carved.
For now she waited and simply watched as people passed by her stone form counting the hours down in her head until she could once again roam the halls.
