Captain Akar Kessel
Day 55
300 Hours

The HMS Shaak'ti spent 26 days traveling to the Unknown Regions in a series of cunning hyperspace jumps. For the next 29 days—rather than exploring strange worlds—astrogation experts put the ship's massive battery of navigational computers to work navigating the network of black holes and densely packed protostars that made this section of the galaxy so hard to come and go through. They'd done several dozen micro-jumps in the time, and expanded hyperspace maps considerably, confirming a corridor that could get ships into the Unknown Regions in two jumps—and were finding hints of other passages in even less time.

Cuddled nude between two young women, the captain slept deeply and peacefully. A few minutes after two am by the ships chronometer, public consoles quietly announced that third shift astrogation was initiating another hyperjump. The ship jerked, bouncing the three a few inches into the air. An instant later the vessel spun out to port with the intensity of an earthquake. The three tumbled together and slammed into the far wall, then landed in a tangle.

The bulkhead's shrieked!

All over the ship, people thrown from their feet or launched out of their beds found themselves pressed hard against the starboard wall.

OOC: Where are you when this happens?

Saber 7-9 Code Named: “Yai”
Day 55
300 Hours
Tagging: Captain and Second girl.

Yai jerked awake, and rolled with the jerk to land with a foot and arm braced against the wall they tumbled into, reaching to grab hold of her captain with her open hand. "What the fuck just happened." Yai straightened herself when the ship stooped shaking and threw on her 'casual' uniform, a white shadow suit of which she threw on her typical clothes over. The shadow suit was a custom make. When active it looked like simple black lines and a bra and panty set. Her clothing was a green and white jacket with matching pants that stopped covering the entire leg around mid thigh and became another small gun holster to attach at her hip, she wore black combat boots with built in mufflers to make her movements more silent.

As she finished dressing she looked at her captain. "I am going to find out what is going on, I do hope you are joining.. Captain." She said as she would head out to find out what was going on, weather or not Captain Akar and the other girl came with her.

At the time, Gekki was in bed, filing down her claws and half-watching her favorite holo-drama. The things were a vestigial feature her kind had never gotten around to removing through genetic treatment, not sharp or hard enough to truly act as weapons or tools. They also made it hard to manipulate touchpads and keyboards, so the young woman always spent a portion of her day keeping them down to something resembling an average human fingernail. Then the slight skip happened, bouncing her nearly half a foot off of the mattress and causing the Arkanian slicer to give herself a slight scratch on the finger. Her high-pitched voice, which always seemed to come out as a grating whine about the latest inconvenience, sounded out throughout the empty bedroom. "Hey, wha-WHOOOA-unf!"

She didn't even have time to finish that thought before gravity seemingly turned on its side, dropping her onto the starboard wall with all the force of a ten foot drop. Remembering her basic training, Gekki grabbed the nearest safety railing and held on tight, hooking one elbow around it while she plugged her bracer computer into the wall and accessed the ship's diagnostics program. Her first instinct was to check the gravity generator and inertial dampeners.

Dani

She was at her post when the shock went through the system - not expecting trouble she had not worn her armour but quickly glances around her formed a silent agreement with the others on duty that it was better to be prepared as she moved to equip it and gather her armaments - before reporting to for her emergency route make sure everyone was fine and that non-essential personal were remaining in quarters.

Walking with her partner she cut an imposing figure in full stormtrooper armour scanning every detail with the heightened capability of her helmet and receiving feed from the ship as she went about the status of what had occurred.

Keiko

Keiko would be found in the medical bay where she would mostly be found. Aside from training herself in fencing from time to time, Keiko would be found in one of two places. In her room or in the medical bay and almost always trying to "examine" or give a physical to another female member of the crew. This was another one of those days for Keiko as she was performing a physical on another female member of the medical staff.

Fandomir would be caught watching Keiko from time to time but he was too into the show she would put on to bother ever saying anything about her. Plus Keiko had proven herself time and time again as a capable enough member of the medical staff so he would allow these "physicals" to happen from time to time. Keiko would find herself topless and her partner was wholly naked as the ship seemed to simulate an earthquake throwing both of them off of the bed they were using. Looking around to see who was hurt, Keiko knew she needed to get serious again as this was going to mean a great many people were going to be headed to the medical bay. At least she was already there.

Nyxia Vors

Nyxia was laying on top of her bunk, meditating quietly. The blond wore only panties and a shift. She gave a little yelp when the ship jerked. With cat like grac,e the blond twisted in the air and landed against the side wall in a crouch. She looked around, dizzied and confused, pressing herself on all fours against the inertia...

Then gave a yelp as she was dropped to the ground by the ship going normal.

* * *

Before people could truly begin to suit up, there was the better part of a minute spent pressed against the side wall before another jerk and jolt. Then the ship leveled out. The lights flickered irregularly.

The captain rose calmly. Nude, strode to the comptuer station and pressed punched in a querrie. “Bridge,” he called into the speakers, “Are we out of hyperspace?”

“Yes, sir,” a woman's voice replied from the helm.

“I take it we passed too close to a gravity well on the test jump. Inform astrometics I expect a full report within the hour.”

He slipped into his pants, and then sat on the bed to pull on his boots. He gave verbal instructions to the ship's com system, then called out, “Gekki, meet me on the bridge. I need to know where we are.”

Yai got to the bridge first. Everyone had picked themselves up by now. Commander Pierre Mulan was barking quick orders into the comms, demanding reports from various stations and compiling them on a data pad.

Gekki found no issues with the ship's gravity. Inertial dampeners revealed the problem. About seven minutes into the hyperspace micro jump they'd passed close to an intense gravity well—probably a black hole. Slingshotting around it while phasing through different domains of hyperspace, they inertial dampers hadn't been able to fully compensate 'til they dropped back into real space a minute later. Current location was unknown.

Sha Lyn would often pull long shifts in engineering, well into the 'night' of the ship. Did she need to pull these shifts? Not in the slightest, but she was somewhat obsessive about her job, especially after the incident with the shield array. Just because the ship was bran new, clearly didn't mean it was without fault.

So... Sha Lyn found herself tumbling across Engineering as the ship hit... something. That or something big outside engineering exploded, since she was sure if it was inside engineering, she would be dead. Still, the ship shouldn't be doing this and she didn't let being slammed face first into a bulk head stop her.

Picking herself off the ground where she fell, she quickly gripped her communicator, contacting the engineering teams, on and off duty. "All hands to your posts, get to battle stations. Someone get me a damage report, now!"

Sha Lyn wasn't idle, running to the nearest engineering console, she quickly tried to find out what the hell was wrong. Or at least what the hell broke after an impact that big.

Figuring a meeting with the captain was soon to follow, Gekki spent the rest of her time on the wall, and about a minute of it on the floor, getting herself dressed and presentable. She was only halfway finished trimming her nails, after all. After a quick touch-up to her nails, face, and hair, the uniformed officer made her way to the bridge. On the way, the slightly nervous young woman mentally prepared herself to tell Kessel that she had no idea just where they were at the moment.

Sha Lyn's didn't manage to asses the damage to the ship as fast as she wanted, but preliminary reports suggested there were no eminent system failures on the verge of plunging them into oblivion. There were a few minor fires, but the ship's internal sensors suggested that the crew was handling them.

Sha Lyn's investigation into the cause revealed the same as Gekki's. They'd struck a gravity well during a microjump through hyperspace and been hurled off course. Slingshotting off of a gravity well in hyperspace could have some startling results when ship's survived it. Ships had been known to wind up traveling ten or in rare instances as much as 40 times as far as they'd intended.

It was also considered the number one hazard faced by survey vessels.

Sha Lyn remembered the hyperspace walk she'd made to repair the shields. While they'd gotten out of that jump just fine, Sha could see that if no one had ever found the microfracutre in the shields they would have sheered apart.

First Officer Mulan--perhaps the stuffiest Zeltron Sha Lyn had ever met--came over the com. "Damage Report, Miss Lyn." The tight control Pierre kept on his emotions could give him a particularly aggressive tone when his composure slipped. Akkar could bellow when the situation called for it, but Pierre 's barks could sound murderous.

Sickbay was rapidly flooding with burn victims, broken limbs, cracked ribs, concussions, and all manner of other contusions and minor catastrophes. "Kieko!" Fanpdomir bellowed over the din of the crowd, and the sudden ringnig in their ears gave them their first hint of the powre of his four throats. "Take charge of Triage. We have seventeen biobeds. Recruit some able boddies to stet up cots in the cargo hold. The nurse practitioners will work there, Dr. Zam and I here."

* * *

"Captain on the Bridge," Pierre Mulan barked as Akkar stepped out of the lift. People shot to thier feet.

"AS you were," the older Zeltron replied quickly. Pierre, maintain command station.

He turned to Gekki and gestured her to the navigation station. "I need you to get external sensors online. GEt me our location."

Gekki started to turn toward her task, only to stop and address her captain with a hasty salute. "Aye, sir!" After enlisting the help of a couple of engineers, she opened the station's maintenance panel and got to work. Unfortunately for her, and whoever was standing near a power conduit elsewhere on the ship, the station's innards really weren't meant to have six hands working on them at once. The three kept bumping into each other, knocking each others tools out of alignment and getting into small bickering matches, until an important cable was severed right through, causing a disastrous short and a dramatic puff of smoke. Any nearby speakers of Arkanian learn a new swear word.

Dani got her armor on and started out into the corridor. She met Kaylee going the same way in the hall.

Krysta Alorel jogged down a corridor on her way too her station in the fighter bay. Official battle stations had not been called, but it seemed a reasonable place to start. The curvacious zeltron pilot wore her favorite scanty outfit of black leather. She'd be donning an armored flight suit when she got there.

Krysta turned the corner up ahead of the other two girls and raised her hand to wave a greeting to Dani and Kaylee. White hot spars exploded from the wall beside her, followed by a shower of flame. Krysta screamed and jumped back from the severed plasma conduit. She pressed her back against the wall, reeling from the sudden explosion of burns over her flesh, and feebly patted out her hair.

Dani and Kaylee could see that the plasma conduit was leaking at an angle, sending the flames to cut Krysta off from both corridors. The only way out was through—or at least under—the flames. Perhaps the conduit could be cut off, but Krysta was cooking moment by moment.

Captain Akar Kessel

Following what Gekki was doing with his eyes, the captain rapidly querried the computers with the data pad on his wrist. He calmly and firmly hit a security code on his com link and ordered, "Fire control team to coridor 9, section seven."

Then the mature Zeltron stepped up behind the arkanian girl and rubbed her shoulders expertly. “Relax. Take a few deep breaths. Our mission includes mapping new hyperspace lanes, her majesty expected something like this to happen once or twice. We're all doing our part here.”

“Now,” he continued in a firm but soothing voice. “First, I want you to go briefly over the instrument panel and tell me what went wrong.”

When she'd answered this, Akar nodded. “Good. Now, we're going to try this again. Yai, I want you to take engineering station four and assist. I'll coordinate you all.”

Assuming Yai participates, Akar uses Coordinate to make the bonuses the from aid another 3 a piece instead of 2.

So the difficultly has gone up, but Gekki gets +9 from assistance this time.

Gekki could have done without the touch, but Captain Kessel's words did wonders to soothe her frustration and embarrassment. He was more than handsome enough, for a human, but she couldn't help being a little weirded out by the feel of his freaky extra fingers on her body. The computer expert took a deep breath in, let it out, and went over the process. "Too many hands for such a tight space. I should have had one standing back with a light and the other monitoring the control panel while I worked on the internals."

With her new instructions, and a bit of extra help, Gekki repaired the severed cable and went through the procedure without issue. The navigation station hummed to life as she rose to her feet with a victorious double fist-pump. "Yes!"

(Mechanics: 24.)

Sha Lyn, hearing the First Officer's voice, was quick to report. "Minimal damage sir, minor fire's throughout multiple decks, but they seem to be contained. Shields are holding and I can't see any structural damage. I suspect we hit a Gravity Well, but sure you have a better idea of what hit us than I do down here." The Commander sighed in relief, glad that the ship had held as well as it did.

"You are so beautiful." Kaylee said softly as she slid up from the comfort of Nyxia's bunk. She placed a soft kiss on the girls neck before resting her head on the younger girl's shoulder. She ran her hand hand under Nyxia's shirt gently rubbing the woman's back. "You should of woke me. You know I hate interrupting you." She gave a playful giggle as she slid off the bunk. "I'm gonna shower. Feel free to join me." She gave another smile before disappearing from the bunk. Kaylee made quickly for the shower. Her head still racing the girl was practically skipping to the shower she was in such a good mood. But that would soon be interrupted. Kaylee hardly had time to get into the shower before the chaos began. Soon after she began washing herself she picked up and her naked flesh slammed into the wall causing a rough pain the unsuspecting girl. "Fuck!" She cried out as she slid down the wall . Once the ship finally stabilized itself the young blonde hurried out the door. Putting on her clothes as she ran she slipped into some dark panties a tight black tank top and small denim like shorts. "Fuck is this what happens when I'm not flying?" She asked herself as she rounded the corner nearly running into Dani as she did.

But the plasma conduit exploding infront of her was a painful realization for how bad things might be. "Shit Dani we have to help her." She quickly ran forward sliding down to hug the ground trying to draw under the flames.

Dani

She acknowledged Kaylee her voice metalic through the helmet, the young pilot was not at the helm and so likely was reporting to the fighter bay which lay on Dani's route.

She grinned in the helmet when she saw Krysta and a second later cursed as the conduit exploded - "we do" she answered Kaylee "stay back - your not equiped for this and not losing both of you" she instructed.

Dani trusted her armour and endurance to stand to her for what needed to be done and in one motion stepped directly in front of the flames grabbed Krysta and shielded her with her own body as she dragged her to safely even as she felt the flames at her back and tried to ignore the pain until - immediately patting out any fire Krysta prior even as she ignored her own until the other woman was safe.

OOC:
Not sure if this would be on fortitude defence, endurance skill etc, or just direct damage to her.
Thinking it is fire obviously but not sure if standing directly in the path would boost the damage - your call :)

With the body count rising from whatever the hell just happened to the ship, Doctor Fandomir would enlist Keiko to set up a triage in the cargo hold. With the nurses by her side, it would be a fairly simple request. Keiko would be in charge of trying to figure out who needed to be in the bio-beds within the medical area proper while using the somewhat empty cargo bay as a impromptu waiting room. It was clear to her at least that she could not take much in the way of resources from the medical unit so Keiko would need to get back to her room and collect her personal gear for this.

Of the upmost importance would be her miniaturized medkit and surgery kit. It was likely that she would need to perform some level of surgery in the cargo hold while not having the benefit of proper medical facilities around her. It would be a good training exercise for going out into the field, except that there was no training dummies or cadavers being used now. There would be no room for error as it would likely result in casualties that Keiko would do her damnedest to avoid. Keiko felt inspired and she was going to do the best she could given the crisis situation. This was what she was trained for afterall.

While Keiko was going to spend a few minutes getting her own personal medical supplies, she needed to find a few able bodied soldiers who could assist her in setting up the makeshift triage unit. Most simple injuries, Keiko or one of the nurses could handle right there in the cargo bay. Anything more severe and they would need to be taken into the medical unit of the ship where Fandomir would hopefully be able to handle the more extreme cases of trauma and injury.

While this was all going on, Keiko would hope that the situation did not worsen and that whatever had happened to the ship was a one time malfunction of some manner that could be corrected. If everything went to plan, Keiko would have her first group of patients lined up in the cargo bay while she went to get her personal equipment. This was going to take a lot of "doing" by not only herself but those around her to make sure that everything could run as smoothly as possible.

Use computers test to find out specificly where we are.

With sensors coming online, Gekki found that they were in the middle of a star system, a little over an Astronical Unit from a cozy yellow star. A green spec to port--close enough to be visiible to the naked eye--was revelead by their senosrs to be a lush, heavily forested planet.

Dani and/or Kaylee: Endurance Test to get through the flames to pull Krysta out.

Dani

https://rolz.org/dr?room=Star%20Wars%20Game (not sure who Alric7808 is on that).
Endurance: 21 (12+9).

Kaylee would likely be better but Dani does no know that :)

The heat was imediate agony as Dani's armored body forced in through the flame, but she held resolute and pulled the pilot out, sheltering her body with her own armored form.

The fire overcome's Dani's fortitude defense with a critical and deals 13 damage, but Krysta's life is saved.

Dani

Her task complete she focused on making sure that any fire on herself was extinguished, and than returning to Krysta to note any serious damage - before letting out a sign of relief that her life was saved.

Removing her helmet she grinned to Kaylee "do me a favour and don't mention that stunt ok - the boss would be mad" her smile turning sour as she winced in pain as the adrenaline of the moment receeded "and ... ah don't want to have to visit the medbay".

Looking at Krysta "you however have to get treated" she winked before clipping on her helmet and using the comlink and contacted ship maintenance services "Security Officer Dani requesting immediate power cut or reduction to ship section JZ762 - power conduits overloading one injured currently. Further please confirm injury room nearest this section assume JZ762-1V23?" - this was of course what she should have done to start with but Krysta might not have had the time, or such would be the justification if her boss called her on it.

Assuming confirmation she took her helmet off again for the sake of showing a friendly face "Krysta this is important - can you walk, myself and Kaylee" mouthing the word 'please' to the pilot who likely had her own tasks "can carry you but better if you are mobile if possible".
