A young witch and a young wizard were seated comfortably on the terraced balcony of a tall tower. The tower was an elaborate structure of intertwining archways, bridges, and spires, that had no business whatsoever being located in the quiet residential neighborhood below. The building was in fact shielded from the eyes of common folk by layers of magic, disguising it as just another common home. This curious place was the home of a small gathering of magic-users who had long ago dedicated themselves to protecting these poor ignorant folks from the many dangers they knew nothing about.
