By The Sands of The Bahazid

For many days I have travelled, crossing the great open sands. I curse the fact that I have neither the talent to capture and tame a Vortus, nor the money to buy one ready trained. Instead I have had to cross the great desert on foot, avoiding the deadly sand worms.

For days the baleful eye of Imollator, that blazing yellow disc in the sky, has cast its gaze upon me. It has drained me of my strength, starved me of food and water, and driven me close to madness with its eternal heat.

But now I see it was worth it. I may be near death but I have at last found that which I sought. I have reached the edge of the vast Bahazid Desert. She stands before me. Pearl of the south, her marble walls beckoning. The beautiful, shimmering Marble City - Xiantec.

By the sands of Bahazid is a homebrew freeform fantasy game set in the city of Xiantec, locating in the fictional world of Nah-Kalia. I am currently in the process of recruiting players for this game. I hope to build this game into a large community of players, and evolve the world as characters develop in it.

The players will play both masters and slaves, and be citizens and visitors of the city. Please look at the website and get a feel for the setting before acknowledging your interest.

I am also looking for co-gms to help develop plots and to run the game. In particular I would need a female co-gm who can help move plot elements along and help players, and take on the role of Taylea Okaris, high priestess of Basimaiel.

Finally, the world of Nah-Kalia is a constant work in progress. If anyone wishes to contribute to the creation of this world - including maps, places, races, cities, etc, etc then I will welcome any ideas you have.

Physical Appearance

This is what other characters will see when looking at yours. Include height, weight, hair colour and length, eye colour. Include any noteworthy characteristics, if normally visible, such as a tattoo, scar, branding, or body piercings.

Personality

Include their general nature, how they act, and also how intelligent they are. Remember, there are different types of intelligence, so be specific. For example, Janella is a very suspicious character, gives out no personal information to people she had just met. Though she has had no form of higher education, she’s very knowledgeable about her place of birth.

Goals

What does your character want out of life? Long-term (goals that will take years or maybe even the character’s lifetime) and short-term (a more immediate goal, such as finding a place to stay or making a friend) should be listed if noteworthy.

Negative Points

These are the problems your character has to personally overcome, or are part of their personality/lifestyle/physical description. Things like a short temper, blindness, or being cursed should be listed here. If it is something unique, please detail the exact nature as well. For example, Daelen has an extreme fear of heights he actually becomes physically sick when forced to climb anything or go on top of a high building. If he is not removed from the subject of his fear he will have a severe panic attack.
