Vaeri Norris had grown up in the city of elves, among her own people. Unlike other races, elves lived for relatively longer than the others, so when a child was born it brought much enjoyment and when death came, it made the whole society silent. There had once been a time when many Elven children were born at once, though over the centuries it had dwindled in numbers, to the point when Vaeri was born only about three other children were born with her. This made the other elves more protective of the children, and also of Vaeri because..she was someone special, someone of royalty.
Vaeri had never much liked being a princess, the crowns were too big for her small head, and her family would never make one to fit her as they did not have many children anymore, and she would have eventually grown into it. At least they had hoped. To keep Vaeri safe, she had been taken under ground in the sparkling city of Ati-Po to study the history of elves, to study the other languages among the lands, to study their enemies, and to see where her talents lied. Unlike her many brothers and sister, Vaeri had about twenty-two siblings in total in varying ages among which the closest to her age was about one hundred years old, Vaeri had an unbelievable gift with numbers. Ever since she was about five, she loved math and working with numbers, and as Vaeri grew older, she became fascinated with keep track of any sort of numbers. It was no surprise when Vaeri turned ten that her father, King Eluis, gave her treasury over the whole dominion of elves, though to much displeasure among the much older of elves who did not trust such a young one. Vaeri had paid no mind, to the threats, to the way the ancient elves of her race glared at her at any sort of meeting, at any sort of council they held, she only did what she enjoyed, what she loved. Which of course was keeping track of any sort of money, numbers, supplies, anything that needed fix among the law of numbers, Vaeri kept track of.
As Vaeri turned closer to the age of sixteen, many of the elves in her society frowned upon her as the King kept her in the spot pf treasury holder. They knew all too well Vaeri would be much smaller than any other elf, and she was the runt of the species so to speak. Vaeri only stood at about 5'0, where as the next smallest elf in height was around 5'8, and thus her father had to break down and have things crafted for her that would fit her small stature, as none of the hand me downs would stay on her like they had hoped. Not only that, they did not like the idea of a child sitting among the council, debating over numbers like they were idiots as she grew closer to a rebellious age, one of which the guards had to keep a closer eye on the girl. Vaeri, annoyed, had protested against the others speaking ill of her, of treating her like some child they had seen all too closely, but things had began to reveal themselves as Vaeri turned fourteen.
"There once was a time.." Her older brother Yiluk, age of three hundred and forty, had began to tell her a story about a time long ago before she was ever born, "..father put a young elf among the council, to take hold and keep track of anything unspeakable in the military. The boy had only been about eleven, close to an age of rebellion when it had started, his madness." Vaeri had frowned at the words, as her older brother Yiluk had cuddled her, comforting her as she cried. "He had began to hide things from the king, to take weapons, armors, money, food, and hide it in places the King would never find. The boy was smart enough, to know we burred our dead with valuables, and he had all the tombs of the old kings and queens excavated to extract the goods from their tombs. Needless to say the boy had turned fourteen on the council with his military power, and with the things he had hidden from the book of treasury he had tried to cause a rebellion against our father to take hold of his lands." Yiluk, had seemed displeased with remembering the images, but he had lived that moment once, when he was but a child himself and had been there in person to witness the event. "Do you know why the other elves hate you so much?" Vaeri had shaken her pale face, her jaw was sharp, sturdy, but it was a sign of the family she came from, everyone had the same sharp jaw line in the Norris lineage. Still, Vaeri could not see the point Yiluk was getting to, why any of this story was suppose to make sense to her in the first place, why she should care. She knew long ago, her father had replaced the entire council, which consisted now of eighty members in a long circular table, of all walks of lives from the richest to the poorest of elves, all of them were much older than Vaeri. "That boy that tried to over rule our father, and the treasurer who tried to help him were fathers own siblings. Of which both had different motives for wanting the crown. The other elves in the council fear you will take the same fate his own brothers had, and they aren't sure father will be able to dispose of his own beloved daughter like he had to his brothers." Vaeri had understood then, a father and daughter had a different bond then brothers did and it was not uncommon for siblings to feud over the crown, but she had understood why the council gave her odd looks now.
Vaeri had turned fifteen easily, without question she had grown slightly more into her body. Still her height had not changed but her breasts had blossomed into the size of 36d, perky and ample and she never wore bras. Vaeri was a toned thing, she enjoyed running, climbing, playing with others around her age and the "children" of the elves that never let their childish side die. Vaeri's skin was the color of snow and her hair was the scarlet of the sun, unlike her siblings who enjoyed being outdoors and tanned quite easily like her father, Vaeri was mostly inside and never really ever tanned. In fact, one of her favorite things to joke about was; "I never tan, I only turn red and peel like a banana." Her eyes were a mixture of colors, blue, threads of purple, silver, green, often she heard the term hazel as her eyes seemed to shift in certain colors whenever they liked, but she preferred to call her eyes the color of the sky. Vaeri held the same features as many of her family, high brows, strong jaw, straight nose, but there were other features that set her apart from her siblings. Her eyes were large, her eyelashes were thick and full but had a red hue to them that looked even brighter against her pale skin, her brows were the same hue as her eyelashes a deeper mahogany color, and her lips were naturally a dark deep red. She had often heard women much older than her, comment on how jealous of her beauty, how they wished they could be as naturally transfixing as Vaeri was. "Such is the royal bloodlines of the Norris family.." Vaeri often heard the servants speak of the family, annoyed that they couldn't be an unique looking, but she had learned to block them out and ignore them. It wasn't like Vaeri took interest in any males of her life, and the women were just as uninteresting to her, she only worked, worked and worked to keep the kingdom in a blossoming state.
However, as Vaeri turned sixteen, things had changed between the races and her father had drawled them all to the council room to discuss what none of them wished to hear. Vaeri had stayed in the back of the meeting room, the room was lined in white porcelain, the center of the room had an opening in the ceiling where the middle of the round table did not exist, only ground stayed in view, and snowflakes fell from the opening of the room to pool in the center of the room. The table as well, round, seats for eighty members, the biggest of being the king's seat, were covered in a dusty layer of snow as well, but no one moved to sit in the chairs as her father had sat down to tell them of what was transpiring.
"As many of you know.." King Eluis had began, the room was filled with his children, and his many wives, he had roughly forty, though many had died over childbirth. "..We have been warring with the other races for too long now. I have come to agreement with the Minotaurs, Tauren as some of you enjoy calling them, to bring our warring nations together in peace." Her father, had he stood, would have stood at roughly eight feet four inches, he was ripped after many centuries of war, and his body was covered in scars up along his arms, but most of the scars were hidden beyond below the pelts he wore. Even as he sat, he still sat straight at around 6'2, the chair was short enough to the ground he wouldn't look overly imposing to any who sat across from him. "I do not wish to hear any words of disobedience, there is no debating this. I do not trust them, but millions of years have passed between our two races, and I wish for peace between us before I am dead and gone and the next heir rules." The room had been silent, Yiluk had stood in front of Vaeri blocking her view, but Vaeri had not cared as she stared at the floor listening. "We are to have a festival to celebrate this union, I suggest you to drink, eat, enjoy the festival of our union and let us make the best of the treaty as we can." King Eluis had stood them, dusting off his many furs to quit the meeting of his family, but one of her sisters had moved forward, standing on the round table across from her father. Huffing, King Eluis had pointed to her, "What is it Uio? What must you speak? Speak now or hold your tongue!" He was angered, that much Vaeri had known.
"Father..as much as we might all be pleased our warring will soon cease with these...creatures..should we not make plans in case this treaty goes sour?" Uio had spoken, her voice was rough and hitched on certain wars. Much like some of Vaeri's brother and her father, Uio had been in war, and had once lost her ability to speak, of which she had refused to lose, and had taught herself how to speak once more despite claims of other elves saying she never would. Vaeri huffed, not really wishing to hear the rest of the conversation, but Yulik had grabbed her arm, stopping her from leaving.
"Vaeri..you should stay and listen to this.." Yulik has whispered in her ear in a comforting voice, Vaeri has paused, allowing Yulik to hold her still as they all waited for King Eluis response to Uio's question, a question all of them wished answered before the festival.
"I have that all in order, my beloved Uio, please do not fear. We will have our military ready in case of invasion, and in case they choose to break our treaty. We will be prepared for it all..I will not send any of use there for festivals lightly, but we must act as though they are nothing more than mere friendly elves to us. Understood?" King Eluis rattled the room, shaking snow off the ruff that poured into the center of the room, collecting on the ground. The entire room was silent, except for the little replies of, "Yes sire." to their father's words.

Days had passed after that meeting, and the elves had began to set up a large enough festival for both races, in a predisclosed place that was between both lands and neutral. They had taken hold of a large castle that over looked the woods down below, the glistening city of Ati-Po, a city made out of spun glass and snow as it sat atop the mountains in the east. Unlike the whites, greens of the forest below, the castle itself was made of beige, golds, soft hints of silvers, and clays. There was a space, where the food had been sat up on tables, along with many drinks from all certain elvish families, rich to poor the poorer drinks were much stronger than the richer family ones much like moonshine, in the back of the opening of the room. Pillars lined the walls, holding up the top of the opening and the castle spanned on one level with many rooms, for sleeping for guests, as well as where others could go to play games with one another. This room however, was open to the elements, sat outside where the sun hit it allowing all the colors to glisten, there were many chairs or lounge areas sat up where some elves had made their way to in revealing clothing, loose beige dresses, loose tunics for the men or clothe that only wrapped around their legs, in the center of the room, was a large pool filled with gold water, big enough to hold around one hundred elves or fifty Minotaur and the pool fell off the side of the mountain, pouring into a water fall below. Of which, was safe to lean against the edge and look below at the land which some of the elves had already began to do. The only elves in this castle were the diplomats of the king, and his own children and wives.
Vaeri had entered the castle with her older brother Yulik, who stood at seven-three to her five feet, it was apparent they were siblings, the same jawline, similar facial features. Her brother had removed his armor, only wearing a long piece of beige cloth that wrapped around his butt and was held together by a single pin in the front. Vaeri, still had the fur coat wrapped around her small frame, not wishing to remove it as they moved into the larger area, the pool area that overlooked the lands. Her eyes flitered around as Yulik laughed at her.
"Try to relax Vaeri, it's not like we did not come unprepared if they try to start a fight." Yulik explained, excited, he was always ready for battle. "Here. Stay here. I know what will get you to relax!" Vaeri has watched him, sighing as he had scampered away from her. She looked around the room, some of the diplomats had already began to drink, laying on one another under the sun or in the pool over looking the lands as they laughed.
"They haven't shown yet, maybe none of them want this treaty.." Vaeri mused, as her brother returned with a strange pink drink in his hand, and a blue one in his other. He looked down at her smiling as he looked around the room at the elves, but he handed her the long glass of pink liquid.
"Most likely they are late to the party Vaeri. Does not mean we can not enjoy ourselves. These are the mating ground of us elves, though father says the Minotuars used to use it for the same reason long ago before we stole it from them." Yaulik sighed along with Vaeri, who seemed unamused, he took a quick swig of the blue liquid, downing it easily. His hand moved, pushing the glass closer to Vaeri's lips. "Come now! Enjoy the moment. If they don't show at least we can celebrate another day of your life little sister!"
"I suppose.." Vaeri shrugged her shoulders, lifting the glass to her lips as se swallowed it. Though her face twisted as she coughed, the alcohol was much stronger than she had expected, and Yulik laughed patting her back. "What in the Gods did you just hand me? That was not a serpents drink I'm used to!" Yulik smiled, pulling off Vaeri's black and white fur coat despite her squirming protests. Vaeri wore a very thin gold dress, there were pins on her shoulder that held it in place, and it hung loosely to her curves, stopping at her ankles and pooling on the ground behind her. Her long red hair was pulled into swirls on the side, a gold ribbon wrapped around her hair like a halo, and encompassed the larger part in the back that stopped below her ass at her back knees. She wore no bra, no underwear, of which was apparent if she moved a certain way.
"Relax little sister. It's some serpent mixture from the poorer of our realm, their drinks are much stronger but it'll help you relax quicker." Vaeri jerked her head to glare at her older brother, who smiled down at her. Her head spun quickly, the drink pouring through her small body quickly. "Son't move so suddenly, this is strong stuff. I'll give you lighter stuff later. First! Go enjoy yourself." Vaeri grunted, moving away from her brother, as he moved inside the castle to put away her coat. She stood in the center of the room, closer to the pool as she threw the glass on the ground, a servant came over with short hair cleaning up the mess as Vaeri sighed holding her head.
"I hate drinking." She mused, watching and listening to the laughter of the elves, but her face was turning a soft hue of red as she smiled. "Oh well."
