Humanity had lost its faith in religion and the day it had done so things had changed. Demons came to the world in droves. Massive portals opening up across the globe and within fourty eight hours of the first arrival Moscow and New York were in ruin and London and Washington DC had been overrun by their armed forces, The Russian, British and American Leaders all taken captive. A truce was forged on the third day, by the three nations and before the sixth day every nation in the world had agreed to their terms without there ever being a need to attack them. The treaty stood that portions of the world would be made available as demon only territory, any that stepped upon their land was doing so at their risk. Human law did not apply, further more the nations would provide lists of people that would become slaves to the demons. Each nation had to provide a mixture of age and gender.
The day of damnation had come and gone, it had occured 10 months ago. More than 8 million had been found across the globe and taken as part of the terms of humanities surrender, another 6 million remained. With Families too afraid part with their loved ones, most had taken to hiding them, even the armed forces of the nation could not locate and deliver them all. They did try of course. Demon hunting parties also existed, by force they took their slaves from the humans, and under the terms of the treaty were allowed to exercise any force they needed against all that opposed them. Whole families had been slaughtered and the women raped when they tried to defend their families from being taken.
Montrax was what mythology depicted as a Centaur, half man, half horse. Standing at over 8 feet in height, his skin was hellfire red and his fur nightmare black. He was a Hunter, he along with a pack of five felhounds roamed the streets, tracking down names, one by one. His latest target had been hiding within a run down church, long abandoned. There was only two exits to the church, a side entrance and the main entrance. The Priests exit had been blocked off by looters months ago. Advancing upon the church, he grunted and waved an arm to the side, sending three of his five felhounds to take to the side entrance. The dogs were intelligent, and capable of many things, if the door was blocked they would forcibly break through. Montrax burst through the main door with a running charge, fists and hoof breaking it down if they had tried to block them.
Grunting as he slowed and circled infront of the entrance "Come on out humans, you cannot hide. We have a warrant for the apprehnsion of one of you. Under the terms of the treaty you will come to no harm should you comply. Hand the one we seek over and you will be unharmed, resist these orders or think that you can keep the sanctioned quarry from us and your lives are forfeit. The one in question is named Pixie." Montrax snorted and stamped his hooves as the five demonic felhounds defensively posed at both the entrances, two behind him and three at the side door.
