(If your interested in how our characters started this strange tale then read the first chapter of our story here:Eldritch Elipse
It had been two months since the incident at Aunt Adeline's house. Shortly after the place had exploded due to Jack's sabotaging the fire department and police had arrived at the site. It didn't look good, the police had a lot of questions after finding Jack, Jessica, and Keri naked, and Dean was the only one in clothing. The house was a smoldering wreck and crashed into the fountain out front was the dead lawyer.
It didn't take long before one of the firemen found Trisha's body in the debris, it was badly maimed but there was no sign of Jerry or Hank's corpses. Jack took the lead when the investigator started asking the group questions with Dean agreeing and adding in bits of fiction where ever needed. They girls both kept mostly quiet and let the guys do the talking.
Jack explained that they had all met here and how the lawyer must have had a heart attack and crashed his car. They had tried to call the authorities but there was no cell service. The investigator pulled his cell phone out of his pocket and tried a call and found that they weren't lying, no cell phone seemed to work out here.
Jack then went on to explain how the storm hit and they went inside until it passed and then they had planned to drive into town and and report the accident but the storm ended up persisting all night. Sometime during the night He'd heard the hissing of gas and smelled rotten eggs. The house caught fire and they got up and ran from the house, some of the couples still naked because the urgency of the emergency. Jerry, Henry and Trisha didn't make it out in time before the house exploded. The cop looked pretty sympathetic and with everyone so traumatized by what had actually happened the day before their conditions really sold the story.
The investigator had then asked why Keri was all scratched up and Jack stumbled with his response. He couldn't come up with a lie fast enough and the investigator started to turn a suspicious eye but then Keri had snapped out of her catatonic state long enough to cover. Her head came up from Jess's lap and she'd wiped her tears away and calmly explained that she was the last one out of the house and was still pretty close when the whole thing went up. The explosion had knocked her to the ground in the gravel driveway and that was how she got so banged up. After she'd fed the cop the lie she returned her head to Jess's lap and continued to weep as if nothing had changed.
Finally the investigator cued in on the leather briefcase Jack was still clutching, he wanted to know what was so important that Jack had decided to grab it, but not his own clothes. Jack had handed it over, not needing it to cover his naked genitalia since the fireman had provided blankets. Inside the cop found the soggy paperwork and produced something that Jack hadn't seen on his initial search.
As it turned out Aunt Adeline had placed a 4.5 million dollar insurance policy on the house and it's contents. The cop explained that they were in for a fight with the insurance company if they expected a pay out with the strange series of events that had lead up to the house's demolition and then handed the document back to Jack. After a short stint in the local hospital to check if everyone was alright, the police had told them they'd be in contact and not to leave the US until the investigation was completed and then they were released.
Dean and Jessica went back to Florida, the goodbye was hard and awkward but Jack knew it was coming. He took Keri back to Buffalo and dealt with the repercussions of that fateful day they'd spent in Massachusetts. Trisha's funeral was hard butt Jerry and Hank's was even harder than that because empty casket's were put in the ground and the thought of that made Jack think about his good friend's horrible fates. The debt collectors came next and seized Jack's properties and left him penniless and homeless.
Keri seemed to recover briefly but that was short lived. Jack checked in frequently and after a few weeks Keri's mom began to tell him that something was wrong with her. She'd dyed her hair black and started getting body piercings and tattoos. She went on to tell him that she was fairly sure that Keri hadn't been sleeping, she'd hear her moving around the house at night at all hours. Keri who was usually upbeat and happy was now depressed and sullen. Jack tried his best to comfort Keri's mother and explained that the accident was traumatizing for all of them.
It was around then, when Jack was at his lowest that his bad luck finally broke. The insurance company got in touch with him and informed him that although they weren't happy about the circumstances they were legally obliged to pay out the insurance claim. Jack and Jessica St. Evens (Crowley) were now multimillionaires.
Jack remembered reaching for his phone to call Jess, and proving that their twin-bond was real again, his phone rang and it was her calling him. Jack had picked up and listened as his twin sister explained how she and Dean had discussed the matter at length and decided that although they were still very much in love, they wanted him to come down and live with them. Jack told Jessica about the settlement and how much money they were going to be inheriting and suggested that they all get a fresh start in a new place. After discussing it over the course of a few conversations over the next week they all decided that New Orleans, Louisiana was where their new unconventional family would call home.
Jack went to Keri's mother, hoping that he could offer her some money to help Keri out, but when Keri heard of his plans she'd insisted on coming down south with him. Keri's mother was upset but ended up agreeing in the end. Jack agreed as long as Keri agreed to get to do an inpatient program in a Louisiana hospital once they got down there. Keri didn't like it but she agreed.
Jack went down south and found a great town house just outside Bourbon street. Four bedrooms and two bathrooms, fully furnished. It cost a pretty penny but money wasn't a big concern now. A few weeks after that, Jess and Dean arrived and they were all reunited for the first time since the incident. Jack thought it might be terribly awkward but things seemed to go off without a hook. It was then that Jessica let Jack know that she was indeed pregnant with his child, or children to be more precise. Jack wasn't all that shocked truth be told, but there were concerns that the demon had indeed fulfilled it's prophecy. Abortion wasn't an option and Jack agreed to that.
At first Jack wasn't sure how living in a polygamous relationship with his sister and her boyfriend would work out, but the longer they all lived together, the better things got. Jessica was happy, having both the men she loved under one roof and Dean and Jack got along better everyday, as it turned out they were very similar personalities and ended up becoming fast friends. Jess and Dean had suggested restarting Jack's ghost hunter occupation with them as partners. Being wealthy help things as well. Kerri had spent several weeks in the hospital and was cleared by her doctor to leave the facility this very week as long as she agreed to stay on her medication.
And so here we are today, Jack sits at the kitchen table eating his bowl of cereal and reading through the paper when Jess and Dean step out of the bedroom. Dean wearing his silk pajama bottoms and Jess wearing only the matching shirt. Jack turned to regard them with a big smile on his face.
"Hey good morning you two! I was gonna sleep in this morning but you two going at it hot and heavy this morning woke me up. I was gonna slip in and join you guys but decided not to interrupt you. Sounded like a real marathon session, Dean eating your pussy Jess with that magic tongue of his you're always talking about Jess?" Jack said with a laugh.
