BBCODE: Spoiler tag and disappearing line break

I have a curious but likely simple BBCODE problem.

When I post [ spoiler ] [ /spoiler ] tags, and then try to have a line break beneath them on BMR, the line break doesn't appear.

I've tried multiple variations of just using the enter/return key both before and after the [ /spoiler ], as well as [ br ], [ br ] [ /br ], [ br ] 1 [ /br ], and a few others.

Nada. Nothing I do seems to allow generation of a line break directly after a spoiler.

Has anyone else encountered this problem? Is there some workaround trick I don't know?

Btw, I've been investigating different WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) BBCODE formatting options, and I'm still figuring out how Java works, but do any of you excellent moderators have any plans to do a tutorial concerning how to install/use WYSIWYG software for us non-programmer types?
