It's a busy night in Blackseed's central square. There's a festival going on, though the occasion is somewhat nebulous. The denizens of the infamous "free town of adventurers" are always finding an excuse to throw a party, typically involving attempts to separate visitors from their coin. Loud music can be heard thrumming from the Ochre Ogre Inn & Tavern.
Right now you gallant lot are busy enjoying yourself in whichever manner of your choice. The tavern itself is packed full with people, the tables crowded with vagabonds eating and drinking, the servers working double time to keep everyone with flagon in hand and trying to prevent the mess from getting too out of control.
Ingwe himself, the burly golden lion-man, is busy roaring with laughter and sliding his specially mixed brews down the counter to those who would dare to sample them.
On one side of the hall is a stage surrounded by an area of dance floor. Currently several musicians are busy cranking out suitable celebratory rhythms, including one notable figure in bronze armor thrashing vigorously on a customized lute.
There are also several semi-professional dancers on the stage. Other folk are busy getting their groove on down on the floor.
In the back of the tavern is another room for those who want a bit less noise and physical action; this is the gaming hall, and it is slightly less crowded, but still bustling with dice rolling and card dealing.
At the entrance to the tavern proper and the entrance to the back room are the establishment's bouncers: a pair of iron golems bearing the maker's mark of the Stronghammer Smithy.
Outside there is less raucous revelry... some people are on the patio tables quietly eating, and some are dancing and making music in the plaza. One intrepid amateur alchemist is trying to set off homemade fireworks. Another golem keeps an eye on the square. There are no real laws in the town to require a police force, but the constructs have instructions to break up any fights that get out of hand and might damage town property.
Up some stone stairs from the plaza is the Stronghammer Smithy, open extra late tonight to take of any drunken customers who might want to impulsively buy a cheaply made good luck bauble.
Down the alley behind the tavern is the notorious Curiosity Shop. The lights are off, to keep casual alleyway wanderers away, but the door is likely open and the shopkeeper in, as Amethyst isn't known to be one for living it up.
And of course, immediately across from the tavern is the massive stone temple to Bast. Oddly quiet, as the townsfolk know that despite it is still a place of worship, not a party hall itself, even though Bast does endorse parties quite readily. That's just the inside, though. The outside is still covered in graffiti as the rest of the buildings in town.
Beyond that, well... there might be a few other places of interest in town for those interested in poking around it's less prominent corners.
Or you could just head back to the outskirts, and the abandoned lots that serve as semi-permanent homes for the town's adventuring community.
Either way, your Awesome Sexy Adventure is about to begin!
