Stephen McArthur had been sailing all his life his father was a merchant and sailed a ship from Britain to the colonies. When he was young his father's ship was taken by pirates and his father was killed. From that day on he had desided that he was going to spend his life fighting pirates. His mother insisted on sending him to medical school to be a doctor though once he graduated he was able to do what ever he wanted. He did just that he set sail on the biggest ship he could find as their doctor.
For 5 years he sailed the seas as his crew hunted and sank pirate vessels. With 8 sunken ships to their record they had themselves became hunted. Pirate ships began looking to sink her and battle had became a constant for the the crew as they patrolled the coast of the colonies. They where finally boarded in the fall of the coast of southern Georgia. The crew fought hard to the very last man but the 3 ships that had attacked them where to much for them. Each surviving man was given a choice. Become a pirate or die!
Two days later the wreackage from the battle 2 miles of shore was still washing up. The day before a few found things of value floating up on shore. Usually in the pockets of the dead sailors who where washing up on the shore. Stephen was one of those men washing up on shore though he was not like the rest. The wound that the pirates had given him before throwing his body over board was not fatal.
He was wounded in the right shoulder enough to render him unconscious and nearly enough to kill him. He laid there the sun warming his body enough to keep him from dieing. The water having chilled him enough to keep him from bleeding to death. Though it with out someone to help him he would certainly be dead in less than half a day.
