Houses of the Blooded?

Well I was moving a few things and I found this manual, I remember having read it but never quite managed to play it...

Has anyone even heard of it?

I never really got into it myself, but a good friend of mine did. I'll let him know it's come up over here.

Houses of the Blooded is a wonderful, wonderful, thing. Wonderful the same way that a peacock taking combat drugs wearing a ballgown whilst twirling flaming rapiers is wonderful. Not necessary wonderful in the same way that 7th Sea is, mind you

It takes a little bit of getting used to if you're used to D&D. Intrigue, courtly-drama, and so on play a far more important role than they do in D&D. Even in games I run, and I particularly enjoy the intrigue / drama aspect of things.

Yeah, as far as I could re-read seems like the kind of game I'd enjoy, plus it does seem to have some sweet and simple mechanics for a bit of world building ad also for taking care of your small 'barony' which would be a nice change of pace for most RPs I'd think

Tho I might do away with the 'Tragedy' part of it, I do like happy endings if you know what I mean
