The day was crisp in the small village of Portan. Sunlight shone through the clear skies and bathed everything with a warm, invigorating glow! On the surface, it was a perfect looking day. However, if one listened closely enough they'd start to hear the subtle whirring of various mechanisms throughout the air. Trees began to die at a rapid pace, far too rapid to be anything natural. Nox sat alone on his stone throne, watching the world through the various spy glasses and insects he had sent out to absorb a special form of energy for him, Wakfu. You see, Nox was a man with a mission to complete, and he would stop at nothing to see it come to fruition...even if it meant sacrificing the world. One of his insects however had located an unusually large source of the energy - from a moving entity. Upon closer inspection of the data readout, his intrigue was piqued.
It took but a moment for him to warp to the source of the Wakfu, and after being defeated by it - he came to a conclusion that made his heart soar. This was a dragon. The source was a dragon! Surely such a creature would have more than enough wakfu to power his devices! He made a move to attack once more - to no avail. Before he could land his hit, the dragon had disappeared into a thick veil of mist that it had conjured taking it's cargo with it - A small baby.
Nox retreated to tend to his own wounds and reformulate his plans again, choosing to draw wakfu from low-priority targets such as plants. There, on his throne with plenty of patience, he waited for the perfect moment to launch the second phase of his plans.
