I am a huge fan of most major genres -- Sci-Fi, Fantasy (high or low!), Modern, Steampunk, Horror, etc., and am comfortable in operating in them. I have homebrew worlds for each, and am amenable to operating in your own as well.
As for specific plots, let me get a few things out of the way.
No Generics!
I am not here to play out a porno with a teacher/student or family deal or anything like that. If it's an academy cadet and their commanding officer? That's fine! But nothing completely humdrum. Either something fantastic happens in a mundane world, or something mundane happens in a fantastic world.
Now here's some specific plots!
1. I'm a little picky! I only like to have a couple of RPs going on at once, and I'm a little selective. I'll try and respond back as soon as possible if you PM me or respond to this thread, and if I turn you down, please don't be discouraged. My time is at something of a premium at present and I only wish to devote time to RPs I know I can give my all to. I don't mean anything mean by this. <3
2. I have over a decade of RP experience in a variety of formats. I tend to match my partners and am comfortable in first or third person, present or past tense. My preference is third person limited in the past tense however. I do not do second person RP however.
3. My gender straight up doesn't matter, and neither does yours. I play male, female, sub, dom, switch, white, black, Asian, Hispanic, whatever. Consider me bereft of gender, ethnicity or orientation (in real life I identify strongly in one regard but online I ain't revealing ANY of that). If you don't want to play with a woman playing as a guy or a guy playing as a woman, then we won't get along I'm sorry to say.
4. As my icon and name attest to, I'm a huge Star Wars fan. Always down for some Star Wars.
5. No Skype, IM, or e-mail! Sorry, this is pretty much entirely disconnected from me as a person.
6. I prefer threads: It's difficult to keep track of PMs.

The romance between criminal and investigator. Globetrotting and competent folk that see it as much of a game as a life and death chase. I would be happy to play either criminal or investigator in this case. Could be fairly romantic with a lot of unresolved sexual tension to begin with.

Model: Brock O'Hurn seems like a good choice here. Would love a young black lady such as Amina in my model thread. Any other model is fine.

My man ends up in an unusual world and situation. Falls in with the locals, playing up the interspecies angle. An alien girl (I'm admittedly fond of Green-Skinned Space Babes), an elf, anything -- they just fall in with one another as he explores this world. Could be flipped with your girl exploring the world with my own.
