The lands outside the capital were wild and untamed. All around bandits roamed, monsters hunted, and beasts were plentiful. Here the peasants toiled and knights found themselves dealing with the problems of the kindom. This land was where some made a name for themselves. People like Aria and Daniel found themselves often wandering the countryside, scrounging through the ruins of old empires and fallen heroes. While they weren't extremely experienced at adventuring, the young human duo was fairly good at it. Often their journeys took them into old tombs where they looked for heirlooms for their employers, or occasionally their work involved slaying monsters, but recently the pair had stumbled across the find of a lifetime; a small map to an old wizards tower. Inside was supposed to be a gem that could grant any wish, and such an object was just what they wanted, each for their own reasons.

On this particular day they were looking for one of the first clues on their journey in an old ruined library. Aria and her loyal protector Daniel wandered through the small facility. All around them the stones from the roof had fallen in, shelves were overturned, and the carcasses of freshly killed monsters littered the area. The pair knew not what they were stepping into, and as they slowly made their way into the library's depths they began to see clues of others who likely were hunting the same thing. With a bit of caution they advanced, unsure of what other people had gotten to the library before them.

Located in southern continent was an Elven village but ever since there were numerous attacks on the village because of monster and bandit attacks, two elves, decided it was best if they leave the village. Certainly, most elves, considered them to be fools however the duo thought it was best option. Besides it was better than staying at the village not knowing when a monster or bandit attack will happen. The two elves were females, were very skill at combat, capable on handling themselves in battle so worrying about dying wasn't their main concern. Their names were Willow and Anatolia. Always prepared as usual, the two elven adventuerers set on the journey, unaware what their adventure awaited them. The elven duo took jobs as mercenaries and bodyguards in order to make money, so far, as they can see, everything was going according as plan.

Days later, however, the pair discovered there was a gem inside a wizard tower. Unfortunately for the elves, they had no idea where the tower was located, and figured the best way they could find the whereabouts of the gem is going to the local library. Upon their arrival the library, they smelled the fresh scent of dried up blood. Disgusted, the two elves snorted, went deeper inside the library. Able to sense they weren't the only ones in the library, the elves started to be caution, mindful of their surroundings.

Predictably whoever else was in the library, may be a threat to them so they better be careful as much if possible.

Aria and Daniel continued to step through the library. They examined the small rooms down below and looked through desks piled with books and manuscripts. Whoever was here first obviously had been researching something in their spare time. grimoires of powerful magics, maps, history books. There were plenty of topics covered, but the investigation took time. No one had stepped out from deeper inside the Library, but behind the young pair was another set of footsteps. Daniel turned and readied himself by drawing a sword, and Aria quickly slipped behind him. "Get ready to hide" Daniel whispered to his companion as he stared at the stairwell expecting their company at any moment.

Further along they went the library the elves arrived at a stairwell. Neither Willow or Antolia dared to stop ascending the stairwell. Besides even if they did get attack, both elves were capable stopping whoever dared to attack them. Onward they went, that is when Willow smelled a human scent.

She didn't bothered to pull at a weapon. This is how sure and brave Willow was that the human wasn't going to do much damaged to her.

"Reveal yourselves!" Antolia yelled, running a hand through platinum blonde locks.

As Anatolia yelled into the room Daniel peeked out from behind a desk, his sword at the ready. He complied with the Elf's order, but didn't move forward a step. "You're not the ones who did this are you?" he asked, motioning towards the hall where the various monster corpses were. His eyes stayed fixated on the elves as Aria slipped out behind him, making sure to keep at the ready as well.

The tension seemed thick in the air as the 4 adventurers seemed to square off before Aria's voice broke the silence. "You two are here for the gem as well right?" she asked as she hesitantly continued. "Maybe we can work together and avoid any unnecessary bloodshed?" she asked as she held her hands up, hoping to broker at the very least a temporary truce.

Anatolia was starting to get impatient, but, instead of letting her anger get the best of her, the elf inhale and exhale. Whoever this human was, peeking behind a desk made her irritated. Didn't she just said reveal themselves? Do they not understand what she means? More importantly, if they come out she will spare their lives. Staying hidden even further will irritate Anatolia. Glad that human finally revealed himself, Anatolia smiled, whispered in the elfen language to Willow that they will spare this human. The elves assume he had a companion somewhere but didn't bothered to ask, merely raised an eyebrow at the man when he asked if they killed the numerous of monster corpses to the side of them. When another human came out from being, both elves were more than please.

"And if we did then what?" Willow asked, coldy, barey blinking an eye. Killing monsters was a hobby of her's, and she took great joy in killig too.

"Yes, why?" Anatolia asked, curious to what the human female was getting at by this idle chitchat. If it is waste time, Anatolia ready to give the human an early death. When the human said maybe they should worked together to avoid unneccesary bloodshed seem very tempting and smart too.
"Hmm," She thought for a while. Glancing at her companio, she looked at her to see what she would say; a nod of her head is a yes and no is a shook of her.

It didn't take Willow very long to decide, if anything she wokd rather not kill a novice fighter so she shook her nodded her head.

"Well you are awfully lucky today, humans, my companion decided we should work together. Be glad your lives were spare." Anatolia chuckled, not evilly ot kindly but out of amusement.
