The lands outside the capital were wild and untamed. All around bandits roamed, monsters hunted, and beasts were plentiful. Here the peasants toiled and knights found themselves dealing with the problems of the kindom. This land was where some made a name for themselves. People like Aria and Daniel found themselves often wandering the countryside, scrounging through the ruins of old empires and fallen heroes. While they weren't extremely experienced at adventuring, the young human duo was fairly good at it. Often their journeys took them into old tombs where they looked for heirlooms for their employers, or occasionally their work involved slaying monsters, but recently the pair had stumbled across the find of a lifetime; a small map to an old wizards tower. Inside was supposed to be a gem that could grant any wish, and such an object was just what they wanted, each for their own reasons.
On this particular day they were looking for one of the first clues on their journey in an old ruined library. Aria and her loyal protector Daniel wandered through the small facility. All around them the stones from the roof had fallen in, shelves were overturned, and the carcasses of freshly killed monsters littered the area. The pair knew not what they were stepping into, and as they slowly made their way into the library's depths they began to see clues of others who likely were hunting the same thing. With a bit of caution they advanced, unsure of what other people had gotten to the library before them.
