The hot summer sun was slowly dropping behind the trees as the two friends made their way down the lonely road. It was almost dusk on the third day of their trip and the mood was sad. It had taken the two women a week to get to the forest they were riding through now and soon if nothing changed they would be riding the long week back home. The days had been warm and with no danger insight Tamila had started not wearing her breast plate. Now with the summer heat Tamila’s underclothes had come off as will and as she moved Casta could see a hint of the blonde humans curvy naked body under her thin robs.
At a small break in the trees Casta raised a slender tanned hand up to block the sun in front of her. She used a old rangers trick with her fingers to judge how much light they would have before it was too dark to see. Well to dark for her friend to see. Human’s eyes weren’t as developed as an elves but unlike some of her kind Casta never tried to look down on anyone for not being up to her abilities, especially her best friend Tamila. The pretty blonde cleric had become Casta’s friend many years ago. They had met in the forest next to the abbey Tamila was being trained in and quickly became best of friends. Casta had taught the shy blonde about the forest and Tamila had told her stories of heroes and princess. Their friendship had grown so close that weeks before when Tamila started have dreams of traveling to this forest Casta had volunteered to travel with her to find out why. It had seemed that the young Clerics goddess was telling her that she was needed here but for the last three days they had found nothing. Maybe she had misread the dreams?
Casta turned to look back at her friend and felt sad as she saw the disappointed look on the pretty blondes face. Tamila had promised that on the fifth day if nothing was found they would go back and today was nearing the end of the third day. Casta smiled at her friend as a drop of sweat ran down her tan neck and disappeared down the valley between her firm elven breasts.
“We only have one or two hours of light left,” Casta said. Looking ahead then back before adding, “We need to find a campsite soon.” Tamila let out a sigh and nodded without saying a word. Casta gave her friend a sweet smile before she turned back around. But as she turned she stopped and her almond shaped eyes widened. There it was again. That same feeling she had been getting since the day before. Like someone or thing was watching them with hungry eyes. Slowly she turned her head from side to side as she looked for the source of the watcher. Still she could not see them. Casta could tell whatever was there felt closure now. She was a good hunter but this one was better, sneaker. Not seeing anything she took a deep breath then kicked the sides of her horse and rode away from whoever it was.
Minutes later they found a good spot within some old ruins, well more like three walls of an old home just a little ways off the road. They quickly removed their gear from the horse and tied them to a tree next to a patch of tall grass for them to eat. Next the two women set about getting their camp ready. Tamila unpacked their bedrolls while Casta gathered fire wood. After she had enough she made a small fire pit while her friend finished what she was doing. Looking up at her friend Casta smiled as she thought about how different Tamila was now. No longer the shy little human she befriended years ago the pretty blonde was developing into a beautiful woman. Gone was the pale skin to be replaced by a light tan and a dusking of freckles where the sun had kissed her skin, mostly on her arms and nose. Even though Tamila looked virginal Casta knew her friend wasn’t completely innocent, either a young acolyte or an older priest had ended Tamila’s maidenhood not too long ago. She had stopped asking her friend about it since every time she did Tamila would just giggle and blush before refusing to tell who it had been. Casta herself had had a few lovers before, other Rangers from her village and one drunken night with two Halflings, the things they could do with their hands and tongues. As she watched her friend she marveled at how attractive she had become. Casta wasn’t into girls but she had a feeling there were many a male out there that would love to spend a night fucking the shy blonde any way they could. Casta wasn’t hard on the eyes either with her long wavy dark brown hair and brown almond shaped eyes. With a athletic figure and medium olive complexion she was quite the catch. Maybe there was a male out there for her too.
Lost in her thought Casta noticed what Tamila had started to unpack, their trail rations. With a whence of mild disgusted on her tan face, Casta stood up and walked to where her bow and gear was. “If you’ll start the fire I’ll find something fresh for us to cook. I’m getting a little tired of those things.”
Tamila looks up with her big sky blue eyes and then back at the trail rations. When she heard what her friend had said she wrinkled her freckled nose in a cute way before saying, “They don’t taste as good as they did on the first day, do they.” Stuffing the rations back in her pack she stood up and walked to the fire pit, her long robs billowing out with each step showing the curve of her figure. “If you can find a few rabbits maybe we can use of that taste mint paste you made on them?”
Casta laughed as she nodded yes. “Okay. I’ll be back as soon as I find us something.” As she turned too walked into the woods she looked back. “Oh, Tamila! Make sure to keep your ears and eyes open.” She winced as she looked around before looking back at her friend. “There’s something odd about this place.”
“Okay.” Tamila said as she started placing wood into the fire pit. As she worked she looked around to see if she could see anything. With a smile Casta walked out of the old house ruins and into the darkening forest.

Some minutes had past and Casta was on the trail of something. She wasn’t sure what it was but it was making a noticeable path through the undergrowth. Arrow drawn, she quietly made her way as she followed the trail. But in the fading light some sounds caught her long elven ears. What was that?? Turning slowly Casta strained to hear where the sounds had come from. It sounded like it was coming from behind her. Turning around facing the sound, she slowly started walking backward. Was it Tamila? She couldn’t risk shooting in that direction if it was her friend or yelling out to see who it was. Quietly she whispered, “Tamila?”
Her almond shaped brown eyes searched the forest in front of her so much that she didn’t notice something moving behind her until she heard a twig snap. Cursing to herself for focusing too hard on one place, Casta turned around to see what was coming up behind. As her eyes saw it her pretty mouth dropped open and her brown eyes widened, “Oh, shit!” Fear gripped her elven heart as she tried to aim her bow but she was too late to shot.
