Mason Tremill was sitting in the waiting room outside the administrator's office of the biggest hospital....somewhere. He couldn't even remember which city this was.

He stifled a yawn and straightened his tie. He had just gotten off the bus two blocks away, and though his black suit was well cut and tailored, it was also old and didn't fit him as well as it should have. He had been growing recently, especially in his arms and chest. He had not gotten much sleep on the bus.

He rubbed his stubbly jaw and growled. He had shaved less than an hour ago at the station. They were guna hate him. He stood and went to the receptionist's desk. "Ma'am i'm sorry but what time is it?"

He tried to peek at her phone when she checked it. He had...lost his some while ago. He learned that he had the right day and time for his appointment, but still had no clue where he really was. He had made all the arrangements before that big fight with the psychic in Atlanta...no Charleston...Miami? Somewhere on the East Coast...he thought.

Once he had his answer he thanked her and moved back to his chair sitting and waiting, surprsing himself by how nervous he was.

Shuffling between patients, Dina Munroe noticed the young man in the suit that was sitting quietly in the corner. He didn't exactly look fit to interview, but she was guessing that was what he was here for and he was going to fail if he kept it up.

Dina was a tall lady with long white hair pulled into a high ponytail and skin dark like dusk. Her black eyes were wide and kind, and she garbed a rather plain blue nurse uniform. She had the posture of a goddess and strong hips, hiding her eyes behind square black glasses.

It didn't take her five minutes to go to the nurse office, getting a cup of coffee in a foam glass, and handing it over to him.

"You look like you could use this," she told him, giving him a kind smile. "If you get the part, look for me. I'm looking for someone to help with my rent."

He blinked looking up at her and his eyes widened. He gulped and stood, standing several inches taller than her. His cold blue eyes softened as he looked at the lovely lady.

"Yes ma'am...and thank you." He realized he was staring. He looked down at the cup. "Actually i'm not a big one for coffee...but thank you again." he sipped it and his face wrinkled.

'It's good. i-"

"Mr. Tremill!"

He turned rapidly but didn't spill a drop. "Ma'am?"

The administator's assistant stood in the doorway. "Mrs. Davis will see you now."

"Yes ma'am."

She moved away and he turned to the goddess beside him. "Thank you again miss." He looked around then set the coffee down on the windowsill and went into the office.

Mrs. Davis was a hard little woman but a talented administrator. "Mr. Tremill." She took in his appearance and sniffed, clearly not impressed. "So you think you could manage a physial therapy post here?"

"Absolutely."

"Why?"

"Because I am certified and I achieved the highest test scores for the test for the last fifteen years." He said this with an almost disgusted growl. He took no pride in his actions.

"But you have not yet worked as a physical therapist."

"No."

"Why not?"

"I was handling the private care of my foster father."

This startled her. Twenty minutes later he walked out actually kind of smiling. He made sure to remove his coffee cup, then went to find the blue clad goddes. "Hello again. i got the job. I'm Mason." he held out his right hand, revealing a large scar across his palm and other smaller marks on his fingers and the back of his hand. "If you were serious I could use somewhere to sleep."

His attempt of drinking coffee was kind of adorable, admittedly, but even if he didn't like it, he'd likely get used to it if he worked around here. Dina wished him a good luck before heading off to deal with her trauma patients. After dealing with a head injury, and a couple of leg injuries, checking on patients, making sure they were getting their meds, the young nurse was continuing her rounds when she saw the suit clad man.

"Mason, its a pleasure to meet you," she said, her hand pretty delicate-looking but with a strong grip. "Congratulations, welcome to Walter Reed. I'm Dina." So used to noticing everything about her patients, she noticed the marks on his hand but chose to ignore it. "Indeed, I was very serious. I have an extra room, ready to move into, which I planned to turn into a study but I discovered I'm not home nearly enough to make use of it. You really look like you could use somewhere to sleep, follow me."

She would lead him to the nurse break room, where an empty, comfortable couch was probably plenty inviting. "You can stay here for now, my shift ends in two hours. Rest, I'll wake you up."

He smiled and nodded. "Thanks...really."

He started for the couch then turned. "I can't telll you how grateful i am..It's....just thanks again."

He went to the couch, put his toes under it and carefully slipped his feet out of the shoes, then removed his jacket and lay on the couch, covering his upper body with the jacket, and was asleep in moments.

He did not snore but he entered full REM less than thirty seconds after shutting his eyes, and his breathing deepened as his body took full rest.

It was amazing how quick the man before her went to bed, and had she been able to read his EEG she would diagnose him with severe sleep deprivation. Despite that, she headed back to work, leaving him there to rest. It was also far better than him taking over one of the many needed beds in the hospital.

Already having worked as a nurse for a few years, and even more years seeing battles and finding villains, Dina was not easily impressed by anything she saw and could handle most cases coolly and calmly without breaking so much as a sweat. The only ones that really got her blood going were emergency patients, in the border of life and death in the matter of hours.

After finishing the last two hours of her job, she returned to the break room, he shook his shoulder softly, attempting to wake him. "Mason... I'm done for the day. Shall we head home?"

He woke the moment she touched him and nodded. "Yeah...home." he said the word with an alien foreigness, as if he had never said the word before.

He stood and pushed his shoes on then folded his jacket on his arm. "Lead the way Dina."

His shirt struggled to contain his chiseled chest and the sleeves of the shirt bulged and creak over his powerful arms. Many inches over six feet and weighing closer to 300 pounds than 2, he was a monster of a man.

"So are you just an RN or are you a specialist? And while im beyond grateful why offer me the room? I could be some mad killer or something...or you could." He shrugged. "Just let me get a full night's sleep before you off me please."

Getting her jacket from her locker, she headed out the door, into the parking lot.

"You have impressive reaction times, fast asleep one second and ready to leave the next," she noted, calmly putting on her red leather jacket. She was already changed to her casual clothes, a well-fitting tank top and jeans, with kneelength red boots. Her steps strong but composed, she led the way to a big, red motorcycle and handed him a helmet. Someone with her social crowd was not easily impressed by appearances. "It must certainly be useful as a therapist

"I'm a trauma nurse, I'm certain there is nothing you can do that would shock me." She let loose her hair before getting on her bike, putting on a helmet of her own. "It's my passion to help those in need. Besides, in your state, I'm sure that if you were a serial killer, you would have been caught long ago."

He laughed and put on the helmet then climbed on behind her, carefully putting his jacket between them and his feet up out of her way while he lay his hands along her thighs on the seat rather than actually touching her.

"I'm good let's be off."

He was careful to be a space between them, but he also leaned with her to keep the bike balanced easily.

"And what's wrong with my state? So i'm dressed funny and need a shave. There are worse out there." He made it clear he was not offended as he laughed following his complaint.

While Mason was probably trying to be gentlemanly, it really did nothing to impress Dina, who really didn't mind the gender differences and didn't see the need to keep such space, but she remained quiet about it. To her, this was proof that, despite his appearance and years, he was still a boy in a man's body. She sped through the roads, making her way home, already knowing how to cut every corner and how to cut through the toughest traffic without the slightest bit of hesitation.

"You seem like you have not slept in ages, you don't have plans to move in before your job, so that shows you're impulsive, and lack premeditation," she explained calmly, driving abruptly into a private garage. "That, and you would be an easy victim if I was the serial killer, which to your relief, I am not." She parked the motorcycle in her designated spot, leading him to the 10th floor in an apartment building. "The place is not too big, but you can pay half the rent by your next pay day, I'm sure."

He moved with her easily, though her comments about him startled and rather irritated him. He held back though as she was giving him a place to stay."

"Alright. And how much is that exactly?"

He fell into step beside her until they reached the door where he stood waiting, trying not to crowd her.

He held his jacket loose over his shoulder as he studied the floor around them and the other floors, curious what kind of people lived here. And deciding how he would get out of here when he needed to. He certainly wasn't guna ride to work with Dina everyday. She made it quite clear she did not like having him on the bike.

"How long have you lived here?"
