How could he possibly know how pivotal today would be? How it would be the thing that would shape his future? After all it had started out so normal and boring, another Tuesday filled with the usual conga of high school classes. Not even the stuff the normally nerdy student usually had an interest in- Geography, math, business... the kind of stuff that damn near put him to sleep.
Class had just come to an end, and he found himself filing out of the main building. It would be unfair to say David was unattractive. Maybe a bit on the short side, and there were more athletic types around, but he had an unblemished and solidly built face, well groomed dark hair, and held no unneeded fat on his body.
Summer was rolling in, the hot sun beaming onto the front door of the school, and as such he had dressed for the heat in a red t-shirt and some old jeans- something to better handle the humidity of the day. He sighed to himself and glanced up to the sky, adjusting the bag on his back. Not a bad day, he supposed, but right about now he wanted nothing more than to just head home and relax.
