Obviously, this creates limited opportunities for women, and as such when a woman reaches the age of 18 she's given a choice. She can take enough money to pay her bills for a year and strike out on her own to make the best living she can, or she can put herself up for "auction", where she will be claimed by a man. If she chooses this option and is chosen by a man, the man is obligated to support her for the rest of his days, housing, clothing, food, etc. However, this support does not come free. In many cases, the man will ask for something in return. It may be as simple as having her clean his house, cook his meals, etc. However, in many cases it will take a very sexual turn, where the woman will submit to the man's will and perform whatever sexual fantasies he desires, no matter how twisted they may be.
