Hey there people of Blue Moon! Again!
So yeah, it's been a while, life kinda took over and I didn't get chance to get back into roleplaying until now, so I guess that's what this is, me getting back in the saddle. :L I'll keep it pretty short and brief and get the rules and other boring stuff outta the way as quickly as possible.
Real life takes precedence! - I shouldn’t really have to point this out but I’ve had people before who haven’t quite realised this. Anyway I have a somewhat busy work schedule that is also rather irregular. Barring exceptional circumstances such as a major emergency for example, I will always reply at least once a week at the very minimum. Often I reply more than that and try to do so as often as possible, but I feel the need to warn people just in case. So there it is. You’ve been warned.
Please understand how english works! - I know this might sound somewhat stuck up or whatever, but I simply can’t be dealing with people who don’t know how to spell or write in english. Dis is no how u do it. You get me? Like I can accept spelling mistakes or a missed letter from a word, I understand that and I’ve done it plenty of times myself, but if I get the feeling you’re trying to be lazy with our roleplay or you’re exceptionally bad then I will say something, and I won’t be apologetic.
I write 2-4 paragraphs! - I find that this is a good average, too little and all the description is missed and too much and you get bogged down and the story doesn’t seem to move as fluently. With that in mind I realise that there are times when the story will call for more or less and I also realise that writers block happens or real life keeps you too busy to write a decent length post, which is perfectly fine. I do ask though that especially in those situations you aim to get quality over quantity, don’t try to write a big post that we both know is bullshit and does nothing to move the story on.
I only rp over thread! - I much prefer to rp over threads and plan/talk out of character with pm’s. This is fairly non-negotiable if you’re asking to rp with me. However if I’m coming to you to ask to rp then I will happily rp over your preferred medium. Maybe that’s stupid but it’s just the way that works best for me.
And finally with all that out of the way we can get on to the good stuff!
As the title states I'm currently craving a modern day romance roleplay, preferably without fantasy elements, but I'd be open to including them if the story was good. Aside from that I'm looking for someone who can be very detailed. The more detail the better in my opinion. I'm also looking for it to be long term as most of my scenarios below don't have a specific end point. I'm also looking for passion with the romance. I want our characters to have hot, rushed sex sex, or slow passionate sex. I want them to scream and shout when they get into a fight or smile like idiots at each other in the 'new relationship' stage.
As for specific kinks/turn ons/whatever you want to call them, I figure we can work them out later, as and when we need to.
ANd finally onto the good stuff! SO what I'm gonna do is list an idea for a character and his brief background, then I'll list several story ideas for that character. Feel free to suggest any tweaks to my ideas or an idea of your own.
Idea One.
My character met his wife at an early age, when they were both in school actually, and it was as close to love at first sight as you can get with real life. They loved each other with a fierce passion that burned bright. They left school and he became a somewhat successful writer while she went into teaching. It seemed like nothing could keep them apart. Everything was perfect. Then she passed away, due to cancer/an incurable disease. At first my character was angry and depressed, then he started drinking, having one night stands, anything to fill the void in his life.
Scenario One - My character, having had enough of his current life, decides to leave and do his best to turn things around. After travelling for a few years he ends up backpacking across America and meets your character. Eventually they fall in love and he decides to settle in the States.
Scenario Two - Your character is an old friend from school who he meets by chance years later as he is slowly drinking himself to death. A spark ignites between the,, maybe she used to have a crush on him, but either way they get together and she tries to help him, to get his life back together and he starts to fall for her.
Idea Two
My character is studying at university and has just got out of a relationship with a log term girlfriend and has been on a string of very unsuccessful dates. A female friend of his tells him that he is too much of a nice guy and sets up a blind date for him with your character, a strong willed, tomboyish character who like to drink, smoke, sleep around and generally break the rules.
Scenario One - Your character teaches my character how to loosen up and 'break the rules' in a strange, sexual but non romantic relationship. However they soon start to realise, much to their surprise/horror that they are falling for each other.
