It had been a hell of a year. Margaret had moved away from her home, her family and she had started a new job. It was a new city that she lived in and a new job that she worked in and no one knew her name. Which suited Margaret just fine. She didn't want anyone to know her, she didn't want anyone to be able to find her or know who she was or what she had used to be. Or more precisely, what she had nearly used to be.
Margaret was on her way home from work. She had stopped off at the store to get some food and then she had started to make her way home. The apartment where she lived was small, humble and not really anything to write home about (as they said) but it was hers and she loved it. The way home was through some quiet streets, and Margaret had the distinct feeling that she was being watched. But she was used to this kind of feeling and she paid it no heed.
Margaret was average height, since the situation with Simon she had taken to dressing in oversized clothes, shapeless and unflattering. That was no different today, a long brown skirt and a very oversized blouse which hid her pery breasts and good figure very well. She didn't want anyone to see it, didn't want anyone to see her so she put her head down and made her way through the streets.
