The story starts as humanity fades and they are forced to seek new life. Problem lies in finding one where they will be able to survive. Able to track down a planet with water and plant life they move and start to colonize. In walks the players of the game, Traveler and Serenity.

RE: Me and Traveler - What have we done...

"The planet used to be toxic and inhabitable but something changed about 2 million years ago that allowed life to grow, plants sprouted and life was born. Green, lush and vibrant plant life started to spread and grow, and with it animals that thrived on it, and with those beasts that devoured the plant eaters came. The planet survives on its own natural circle, nothing disrupts it. There is no technology, population remains in check, everything is simple. Balance, everything had balance. This world was much like that of other worlds that had surface and ground water. Clean water too, very pure. Most of the water was created from the lava meeting solid rock and melting crevices with in it and this trap water that comes from the comets landing on the planet. This allowed for the planet to flourish after a huge meteor of rock hit the planet. With it, the bonds of both hydrogen and oxygen were released in the atmosphere and thus, life was started and water came to be on the planet. The planet, much like earth, was about 80% water, from it's numerous meteors and such creating land masses similar to the earth. It has many similarities to the earth in fact, I'm sure there are more than than we Humans are aware of." The woman paused. "And such is the discovery of Earth 2. Homework tomorrow on the subject along with a quiz, go study for tomorrow." The bright eyed young teacher said to her students.

The students went home to study, but what they weren't expecting was what was to happen next. A golden evening out on the lake, beach, or even at home was soon to turn into such a huge catastrophe that no one could have prepared well enough for it and those few that did would find it hard to survive. It happened fast, the earth over the millions of years started to spin faster and faster, compressing itself and causing the land to buckle underground. It wasn't expected and it was close to impossible to predict this type of damage impacting the world. The government filled the peoples heads with lies about all types of apocalypse scenarios but no one expected something so drastic. On that sunny evening everything suddenly went dark. Everyone was shocked and looked up to the sky those who actually thought about what could possibly be happening had been preparing the best they could for years, an entire civilization had moved underground and another had moved into the sky, hoping that they would be safe from the ground quakes. Technology had advanced much over the years and in the year 3800 Humans had abilities that people only dreamed of in the 2000's. Teleportation, cancer cures, higher population rates had stripped out much of their resources and they resorted to invading other planets nearby to get water and resources. Colonizing several small planets and doing the unthinkable, moving them closer to the earth. The other planets were connected and were able to be driven to from earth by personal vehicles which now went over 1000 miles an hour. These planets however weren't safe from what hit this very day.

As the sky darkened people looked up scared. Those with enough know-how went into bunkers, others ran, trying to get as far from the planet as they could. Several of them the earth. The planets which they themselves had pulled towards the earth had reversed their axis and now were headed straight towards the gravitational pull of the earth. About 20,000 people were loaded onto a craft and attempted to hyper-drive away from planet earth. Among these were several scientists who had helped colonize other planets before. They could look out the window and watch as the world they knew and loved was pummeled by the planets they had put into orbit themselves. in that moment, everything was gone. Behind them was what used to be an earth, a large ball of liquid, red and pouring into space slowly. Parts of the land was still in tact, but most of it had been destroyed. All that remained of the human species was on this craft and a couple other private crafts. The emotions ran high, thankfully they had brought plenty of food and items from their world that would help them rebuild. Thanks to their knowledge, the human race wouldn't' die out. It was too powerful. It took them about 5 years to completely get to the planet they had in their sights "Earth 2". Given the knowledge they had from earth, they put in effect new rules, about wasting food, wasting water, and other such things. Of course, like all humans most didn't listen. The government was scientific, the science ran the world there was no politics, the smartest, most qualified humans ran the world they now knew as "Earth 2". The lab surrounded the city, and around this was a huge wall that was built in 10 years from the time they landed. At the time of leaving the planet, a few children were brought with them, among them was a young girl by the name of Bethany, and a male that didn't quite open up about his name. She was 22 by the time the colonization was finished, so he had to be about 28 or so. She had trained with the schools they set up to work as an assistant in the lab, and today was no different.

RE: Me and Traveler - What have we done...

His father had been an important man.

He remembered that fact from 'before'. His father had been important, and he had to stay behind to ensure that the ship was able to leave the planet. Everything was falling down around them; the city was collapsing. The oceans were colliding and the mountains submerged. It had been a catastrophe, and his father had sent him onto the ship knowing that he could not follow his wife and son, but that he had to stay behind if mankind was to survive.

And so the boy had stood on the bridge, his mother with her hand on his shoulder, as they left their home and watched it implode behind them, and he learned that people did things for the good of others, even at the great sacrifice of their own hopes and dreams.

Doctor Raiz Talon
stood at the window, remembering the last lesson his father had taught him.

He had been having those dreams again, the ones where he was back on Earth, but instead of being a youngster he was an adult. He was walking through the city, his weapon charged and ready to go, but instead of humanoid creatures and the 'normal' animals there were alien creatures, and he realized that they had come to Earth, not the other way around. Now he stood there, running a strong hand through his short, dark brown hair, and frowned at his reflection in the window. His mother had said that he reminded her of his father. Perhaps he was too much like him; when his own wife had died in a wall-building accident Raiz had thrown himself into his work. They had to figure out how to make this planet safe for their people or risk dying out completely.

As the lab door opened and those who helped in the lab entered he turned, his stormy eyes taking in the group but not seeing them as individuals. They were assistants, and he found that by keeping people at a distance he could spare himself the needless waste of spending time on frivolous niceties like celebrations, small-talk, and affection. Getting close to people meant the risk of losing them.

Today they were continuing experiments on the local animals to see if they could cause the 'useful' ones to be more resilient to the changes the humans were causing. They were also trying to figure out how to harness some native abilities the animals had, to use them for the humans' benefit. Part of what they did required that they test the pain thresholds of the native creatures, a practice that some of the more bleeding-hearted settlers had issue with, but for the doctor nothing was too difficult or cruel if the end result meant the betterment of the colonists.

RE: Me and Traveler - What have we done...

Svara had stubbornly wandered into the camp of the humans. To them, she would be a monster, huge fangs, almost simular to a sabortoothed tiger except for the fact that she had shifting abilities, able to change her skin to fit the environment, as well as very resiliant to just about everything. Needles would break in her tough skin, bullets would all but bounce off of the scales underneath the fur. She was a very interesting creature, the only way they would be able to catch her is to trap her and use gas. It wasn't long before her presence alerted the guards and they started throwing everything at her. Nothing was seeming to work. Bullets bounced, Darts snapped in half, and her flesh melted through the rope they tried to throw on her. She was a species all her own. Four legs, four paws the size of a grown mans head, 2 eyes that were peircing blue and had a protective layer of flesh under her eyelid, over her retina to protect it when she went swimming, gills just behind her ears, a spiked tail, and long fangs, easily large enough to penetrate through a fully grown male humans throat.

Her flesh was changing depending on what they were throwing at her. If it was bullets or spears she changed into a sheilded creature, simular to an armidillo, if it was the net her flesh turned red hot and set it on fire. She could spit acid 100 feet in any direction, which would melt through whatever it touched. A scream resonated through the city as a man was hit by one such amount of acid. It had hit him in the chest, melted through his chest armor to his flesh. The man screamed as it melted through his chest armor, exposing bone and tendon before it exposed his heart and started to slowly eat away at it. The man eventually passed out from the extreme amount of pain he was in.

The next man to approach her would get a spike thrown at him. The spike was launched from her tail, the tip of it opening up and shooting out a bone-like material that was sharp and as strong as diamond. Something even she herself couldn't break through. it shot straight at the man at 60 mph and went straight through his head, entering into one eye socket and exiting out the back of his head, straight through his leather make-shift armor. The men didn't know what to do, they had cornered a wild animal and it wasn't going down easily. The head doctor was up in his room watching from a window. He clicked on the intercom and calmly said "Talon. My office. Immediately." He clicked it off and stood watching out the window with his hands behind his back clasped neatly. His eyes were fixated on the creature. "Beautiful..." he said, he wasn't a nice guy, he was looking at the value of the creature, not the beauty of her species. "We could use her." He said as the Man known as Raiz Talon walked in. "Don't you agree?" he asked, it was more of a statement in which he had better respond to, than a question.

Meanwhile, on the ground the sabor-like cat stalked around the humans, waiting for them to throw shit at her. She glanced around at the area which they had run her to and noticed that she could climb the walls. She started doing just that. The wall at the top had a lot of barbed wire, revealing one of her only weaknesses. Like any lizard or creature with scales, their weakness was in their belly, as she climbed up she attempted to climb over and sliced a pretty decent chuck of her flesh on her undercarriage right off. She snarled in pain and jumped down to the other side of the wall, the pain causing her to stumble in her fall and she fell to her side for a moment. It wasn't long, but it was long enough for one of the guys to shoot a tranq dart into her stomach from below. Their was enough to drop an entire elephant in the tranq and it only took moments for her vission to start fading. She realized she was in trouble and tried to run but every step she took she got more dizzy until she finally collapsed to her side again, panting harshly. Her tail swished hard against the ground kicking up dust and covering her white fur with dirt. Her belly already was red from the wound which healed quickly, but still did enough to help them bring her down. He panted and they shot her with another after a couple minutes of her not going under. She was lulled into a deep sleep by the drug and then dragged inside. They only had a couple cages in the facility large enough to fit her, and thankfully for them it was made with bullet proof glass and titanium floor and bars. The dragged her inside of the cage and locked her there.

While she was passed out, they fashioned a collar for her that would make it easier to control her, again out of titanium. They were running low on it in fact, they had to make it last. They had yet to try mining anything on this planet. so they really didn't have too many resources yet. They fashioned a muzzle for her as well, but it was a gag muzzle, not the type to keep her mouth closed, but to force it open or close. It had a crank on the side making it easy to force her mouth open if they wanted to. Using this they slipped it onto her head and screwed the bolts into her upper and bottom jaw. The metal pieces slipped over the top of her jaw, and through the bottom of it, creating kind of like a cage for her entire jaw and head, outlining the bones. They could now move her as they wished. They also made 'gloves' for her feet so she couldnt' scratch them and a tip for her tail, all out of titanium. She wasn't as dangerous with all her weapons disabled.

RE: Me and Traveler - What have we done...

Doctor Talon was in the lab with his assistant, the young and woman who preferred to be called by her first name, Bethany. Talon didn’t give her much consideration except for the fact that she had never been late and she seemed competent. She was useful; that much was all he needed to know. As they worked on some tests on soil tissue in the main laboratory he favored, the intercom tone came on to let him know a message was on its way.

The familiar voice of their superior filled the room. ”Talon. My office. Immediately.”

The doctor’s eyes narrowed. He had long learned to put up with his boss’s use of his last name alone, but he didn’t like it. He’d worked hard to earn his title, and though there was no other with the same last name in the colony he felt like it was disrespectful.

Perhaps it was because there was a moment when there were two ‘Doctor Talons’ on the colony, and now there was just one, that it bothered Raiz the way it did. His jaw tightened as he laid down the instrument he was using and addressed the woman who was with him. “Finish the dissection and record the findings, if you would. Then put the remnants in a sealed, 4.4 degree Celsius drawer until I return.” He turned and pulled off his gloves, rolling them along his hand to dissuade contamination and then dropped them into the incendiary trash chute. Everything that went down there was reduced to ash and then recycled into inert materials. No chance was left that they could be infected with some native alien germ or microbe, including through their equipment.

He stepped through the door and into the decontamination port that separated the laboratory wing from the rest of the medical research and development building. A hundred and twenty seconds of the ultra-atomic treatment and the buzzer came on, indicating that he was safe to exit and mix with the general population.

By the time he reached his superior’s office the creature that had caught the eye of the head doctor was already figuring out her next move. Talon paused just inside the doorway as he watched the huge screen that covered one of the walls. It was almost like they were right in the midst of the action.

“She’s… very useful,” he agreed, stepping closer. Analytically Raiz watched as the huge, cat-like creature stalked around the human hunters. She leaped upon the walls, climbing it with unnatural skill, but then the barbed wires obstructed her way and the doctor saw the softness in her underbelly. Pain seemed to affect these creatures just like any from Earth; her snarl seemed both filled with pain and frustration. He watched as she fell, the wind seeming to be knocked out of her. Then the tranquilizers hit her; first one, then the second, and finally she stumbled and fell to the ground. The hunters wasted no time binding her and then dragging her into the compound.

The doctor watched through the hunter’s cameras, each with one mounted so that they got the best views and everything was recorded. Doctor Talon saw the fashioning of the collar, the muzzle fitting, and the coverings for the beast’s feet and tail. “She’s not quite reptile, not quite mammal,” he mused to himself, “but she’s all beast. I want her.” He turned to his superior. “I want to be on the team that tests her, Sir.”

His eyes were gleaming as he considered the possibilities. He began to rewind the video from the first encounter and he saw the way she fought and defended herself. The possibilities of what they could learn from this creature were astounding. “She’s got to be one of the alpha predators on this planet. If we figure out her defenses and weapons nothing on this chunk of rock will be a challenge.” The man’s steely blue eyes were dark as his brows knitted in thought. His aquiline profile seemed predatory as well; his body was tense as if it wanted to engage the creature personally, but his mind was too attuned to the fragility of the human body against such creatures to consider such an insane proposition.

Talon turned his eyes onto his boss, and a slow smile spread across his face. “When do we start with this one?”

RE: Me and Traveler - What have we done...

The bosses face was harsh, showing little to no interest like the doctor had been. He cared only for the research, not keeping the animal alive, or even functional. He could only think what they could learn but he wasn't showing any earnest in doing so. He watched the other spaz out as he stood there in retrospect to the others actions. He thought back to her fight and could only imagine the things they could find out. How did those scales work and what exactly was the extent of her powers. He waited for the other to seem to calm down a little, and become less of a kid in a candy shop, before nodding. "Aye... special." He said. "The things we can learn from her..." he said, his hand moving up to run along his beard. His eyes were beady and dead, crazy almost. The features of his face bore a few broken peices, his nose had been snapped in two ways, his face was scared and his countenance was that of a statue. Not really the best type of boss, but he won over against the others by sheer power, determination and complete horrific nature. The man had skinned one of the other doctors for opposing him, using him as a guinea pig to test out different types of battery acid. The man was brutal. "Immediately." the man said in response. He looked back to the screens to see how they had her hooked up. "I want thermal scans, blood, flesh, and bone analysis, several scans on brain patterns as well as a hunting simulation. Use live bait." He pointed to the door for the other to leave his sight.

Meanwhile, in the cage Sarence woke up with a peice of metal wrapped around her mouth which was holding both sides of her mouth open, looking at the device from the front would look like two half circles that were stacked on top of eachother and the middle beams bent upwards and downwards to their respective parts. The top part was wrapped over the top of her muzzle, and the middle pieces were set through her mouth forcing it open on both top and bottom. The metal was attached to a circle which was attached to a joint which cinched on both sides of her jaw, allowing them to crank her mouth open and shut. She tried to move her head but was secured tightly, her paws, tail, everything was very secure on her and she couldn't move. Her eyes scanned the room and she growled as they came into the cage and opened up the large door to pull her out. The paw containters kept her from killing them, the bit over her tail was a precaution but the only thing they missed was the fact that she could spit acid. There wasn't much they could do about the acid, but they should have known they would be in for trouble if she sprayed them. A guy was underestimating her and walked up to take a sample of her mouth. He cranked her mouth open wide, too wide for her comfort. He shoved a sheethed qtip in to the back of her throat to take samples and this pissed her off. Unable to bite down she curled her tongue back and shot acid in the guys face. He buckled and screamed shuffling back and running to the eye-cleansing station. he was washing the acid from his face but doing so was washing flesh from bone. He passed out quickly and the other men gathered, attempting to help him. He had made a stupid move, and was paying for it. As the doctor came into the room her eyes met his and she viably tensed up.

RE: Me and Traveler - What have we done...

Doctor Talon was already on his way out the door. He raised a hand in acquiescence to the senior doctor's commands, though he had heard the list of tests so often with other subjects that he could almost quote them in his sleep. He went through the decontamination port, waiting the two minutes, then into the laboratory. The cages were to the left of the door, large, impenetrable transparent vaults that had perfectly controlled environments within. Some of the cages held flying creatures, others had sea or land creatures. A lot of them were very similar to the animals from Earth. One even had a wide-eyed primate looking creature that had bat wings and was about fourteen inches tall. None, though, had a predator as grand as the one that had just been brought in.

The doctor saw the lab assistant being sprayed and his eyes narrowed. Here was another weapon this creature had; what a magnificent creature! Perfectly designed, it seemed, for both offensive and defensive superiority, with only one weakness that was obvious, and that as the soft underbelly. She obviously wasn't immune to poison either, a boon for their research, and she also could not break through titanium.

Yet.

He walked up to the entry door and stared at the eyes of the creature as she caught sight of his entrance. If he didn't know better he might think that she could tell that he was going to be in charge, but that would assume a higher level of intelligence in her, and he he knew that they found nothing on the planet that was even remotely as self-aware and intelligent as humans.

"What are you?" He asked, stepping into the room. He walked a good distance away until he came to the suffering assistant. "Take him to the regeneration pods," he commanded two others. "Use the research code for this project as credit payment for his rebuilding."

Everything had a price, even medical treatment. The man who was bathed in acid would be regenerated using advanced rapid cellular reproduction technology but the cost would be high.

"Doctor, what is the research code for this? She's a spontaneous capture. She came into the compound on her own."

This was news to Talon. He cocked his head and turned to look at the bond creature. What brought such a specimen to them, almost as if by consent? "Very well. Let's call this Project Eve. She's the prime creature on this planet; obviously the best of the best. The alpha." He smiled as he considered her.

Once the assistants had hauled off the unconscious coworker Dr. Talon continued to circle Svara at a distance. "So, Eve. Why did you walk onto our compound, hm? Were you that sure of your predatory skills that nothing scared you? Or was it curiosity? Don't you know that curiosity killed the cat? Of course we're not going to kill you. We're going to study you, and you're going to teach us everything you can about your species and your planet, and when we're done you'll submit to us as your righteous masters."

He paused at her back. She had been placed on her side, her body bound and weighted by the titanium protectors. "Put her on a gurney and lash her down," he ordered other assistants in the lab. We need to do the usual battery of scans, but I want magnetic resonance imaging and old fashioned x-rays as well, as well as a blood and muscle tissue sample work up. Make sure to take no more than necessary for the samples; we have a lot of live tests to do on this one."

"Oh," he added as he turned to leave the cage, "and if she expels any waste I want it collected to analyze what she eats and drinks. We want to keep her healthy while she's being tested." With that he walked out and went to his computer station to think over what he witnessed so far and take notes while the assistants ran the new creature, Eve, through the series of tests that the head doctor had ordered.

RE: Me and Traveler - What have we done...

The cat could tell that he was in charge, for the most part. Other than the man that was on the loud speaker she knew that he was in charge. She could understand little of what he was saying, but his tone said everything. She was special, a subject that even they didn't fully comprehend her strength. Even so, they took no chances, lashing her down as they transported her for tests. Had she been able to move she would be, but they had secured her well. Down the metal halls they rolled her. First they weighed her, easily weighing in at more than 1400 pounds. They were surprised as she wasn't that much larger than the largest recorded creature in the world before the earth collapsed. They had to perform tests while keeping in mind the mere strength she had. They had no idea what they were working with so they all protected themselves with titanium armor. It seemed to be the only thing she couldn't get through. She wasn't godly, but close enough to be dangerous.

They rolled her down the halls towards the labs, careful to stay clear of her face to avoid another such incident. She watched the white walls, picking up all of the waves of technology in the building. Her eyes could see things humans could not, her ears putting together noises as vision. As they put her into the room and started up the tests she waited growling softly. They first decided to take samples of her hair and scales. As they cut some of her hair and bagged it one decided to cut off one of her scales which is when they found out that she could do a lot more than they gave her credit for, as he put the knife to her flesh the knife started to melt, her blood was literally boiling, as soon as anything but titanium contacted the blood it melted, as if her blood was the temperature of pure lava. What a coincidence really, the only thing that kept her from changing her form is the titanium drilled into her head, changing would rip apart her anatomy painfully. The bone would crack and snap as she tried to change form. She stayed in the same form but that didn't stop her from altering her shell. Soon, the fur and scales they were pulling at disappeared into her flesh and she became sheilded by a metalic type of flesh, it looked as if she had just put on a suit of armor. The scientists stepped back amazed and immediately turned off all the machines as the micro waves they were using would have interacted negatively with the metals. She had stopped their attempts for the moment, but she still had a soft spot. The soft spot was exposed and used against her, a needle was inserted into her belly and she was pumped full of enough tranq to knock out a fully grown mamoth. It didn't knock her out but all the power she was exerting was draining her and coupled with the tranq she was having issues keeping it up, in fact, she dropped her power completely and her protection soon after became nothing but fur, she looked like an overgrown tiger with solid black and white stripes. She was forced to endure them taking blood samples, xrays and more as she panted and waited for it to be over. What she didn't know was this just the start. Her showing them her changes was the start of something new, they wanted to see how far she could be pushed. They also could test several things on her without worrying about her being killed, as it seemed all the wounds they inflicted were healing quickly, they wanted to push and see just how quickly and how much.

RE: Me and Traveler - What have we done...

Dr. Talon had trusted that the team would have done what he instructed them to do and only what he instructed them to do, but when he returned to the laboratory a few hours later he was met by Dr. Samuel Dyer. He was nearly a decade older, though his bald scalp and then way he squinted through his archaic glasses made him seem nearly twice that age. The man wasn't content to simply run tests. No, he had to have his assistants rip scales off of the creature as it laid, sedated, on the hard metal table.

They applied acids and lit it on fire, tried to freeze parts of it. The more they could tell that they were hurting the beast, the more they enjoyed the tests. Every time she did some change to protect herself they adapted and threw another battery of tests at her to see if she would defend herself. Even her claws weren't safe, as they opened a part of one of the shields over her legs and pulled and prodded, yanking on her without any anesthesia to see if she'd regenerate a claw and also how she dealt with pain.

Dr. Dyer was laughing as his assistant, a scrawny, attention seeking loner named Peter Sims, moved to replay a part of the video where the creature seemed greatly discomforted by one of the tests they had done. "Look at that! It's almost crying! Stupid bloody beast, wait until we get to the dissection part; I can't wait to see what kind of defenses it has to having it's squishy insides exposed to our instruments."

Dr. Talon strode into the laboratory and saw the creature panting on her side. "Who ordered this?" He stalked to the control panel and slapped a palm on the intercom, alerting those inside the cage that he was addressing them. "Stop that immediately! Those are not the tests that I or Dr. Carver ordered!"

Dr. Dyer adjusted his glasses and looked over at Talon with boredom in his eyes. "Perhaps, but Dr. Carver put me as project lead. I ordered these tests."

This was news to Talon. "I asked for this project," he protested, "this was mine."

"Sor-ry." His sing-song voice indicated that he wasn't sorry in the least. As a matter of fact, he was amused. "Seniority and such. You're assigned to assist, though. I'd suggest you scrub in and don a hazmat suit, Talon. You're going in."

Talon's jaw tightened but he nodded in compliance. This was, after all, an important find, and the things that they could learn from this specimen could save lives on Earth 2. Who was he to protest his superiors? Especially Dr. Carver; he'd been well known even on Earth before the day of Exodus. If those above him had deemed it necessary or prudent to allow Dr. Dyer to be in charge, then Talon would obey their orders. There was no civilization without laws and order, after all.

RE: Me and Traveler - What have we done...

It took a lot to sedate her, bring her down and knock her into almost complete unconsciousness. Good thing for them they didn't get her completely out, since if they had they would see a side of her that undoubtedly none of them want to know about. One of them grabbed a piece of dry ice and stuck it against part of her scales. She roared as the ice burned her flesh. They seemed dissatisfied with the result and decided to pit her blood and tissue against dry ice. They grabbed a large flat piece, sliced open a part of her flesh inserted it and watched in awe as the wound healed back up quickly. She woke from her stupor and roared in pain, thrashing as much as she could but to no avail, the titanium securing her made it impossible. She would tear them appart if she could. They found out that the dry ice - while it did hurt, it healed completely. They wanted to test out her breathing and put a mask on her face - made to hold the gas in, not out. They started pumping noxius gases into the mask. As it entered her nose she tried to thrash her head but it stopped her from doing so. She inhaled the gases that they had created and it burned her lungs. She started to cough up blood and her eyes started to bleed. The blood dripped onto the table she was secured to. Finally after removing the mask, they let her lay down and she collapsed on her side. The only reason they laid her down was to start the plans they had for her. They secured her paws out and got an electrical saw type machine and started to saw through her belly and ribs. Her eyes widened and one could swear she was crying. The pain was intense and by the end of everything she was left panting, barely even able to change at all. "Hm... If we keep it up she might lose all her power and we can test her even more." He said. They did everything they could think of to her to test her 'limits' the only limit they found she did have was they almost killed her by wrapping a chain around her neck and squeezing it until she almost passed out completely, her heart rate slowing. "Soo, she can still die from not breathing it looks like."

She was so hungry, thirsty, and most of everything scared. Svara panted harshly, most of her wounds had healed but they had done more than they were allowed to to her and she was now sitting with her flesh pulled back on one side of her ribcage. They had yanked back the flesh to clear off the bone and get some bone shavings for the record to test as Talon came in. Her heart could be seen beating erratically through her ribcage, her eyes met that man, the one who seemed enraged. She could tell he was mad, the tone, the body language, facial expression. She had no idea what he was saying because she had yet connected her mind to his... but this man... she could tell that something was different about him. Hadn't he been in before? She watched him from the window as he seemed to give an order and walk into the room. They let the flesh of her side go and it slipped back down into place, healing up perfectly.

"Isn't she amazing?" one of the scientists asked. "Oh...and yes, it's female, we can tell because of her reproductive organs. Would you like to see?" He asked, grabbing the saw they had been using on her. If they had started cutting into her before they drained her strength, that blood would have been acidic and would have killed them all with a single touch.

She made a soft noise and seemed to be struggling to hold onto her consciousness, the gag still in place that held her jaw together, she couldn't point out a single part of her body that didn't hurt.

RE: Me and Traveler - What have we done...

"Are you insane?" Dr. Talon burst through the door of the glass room, breaching protocol by not donning a suit, and knocked the saw that the other scientist held. The hard titanium tool clattered to the ground, the sound ringing through the room like a death knell. "If you keep up these tests like this you're likely to kill her! We can get more information from a live specimen than from a dead one."

He scowled through the glass at Doctor Dyer, shaking his head and pointing to the creature that was laying there, her rib cage opened to reveal the bone. How they managed to do that without spilling blood was beyond his understanding. He didn't know that spilling her blood would have been acidic and killed them all with a single touch, but somehow they had managed to open her up, insert dry ice, and also take bone samples from her ribs without getting any blood on themselves.

"She needs to be allowed to heal between each experiment. Only then can we truly assess her healing abilities and the species' ability to morph and face each challenge. Otherwise your experiments are useless. We need clean data, Doctor Dyer. What you're doing here, this torturing simply for the joy of seeing how far you can push the creature before it dies, tells us nothing. Do you hear me? It tells us nothing!"

He smacked a nearby assistant on the back of the head when the lad didn't move quickly enough to remove the instruments that were keeping the creature's flesh pulled apart. As soon as it touched itself it seemed to heal, the rapidness astounding Dr. Talon. He tapped the com on his ear and spoke to the laboratory computer. "Commence recording everything that happens in Eve's cage, Computer, including the temperature, humidity, and the chemical make up of the air." He walked around the specimen, examining her, as he spoke to the computer.

He paused in front of the creature. As he looked at her face, examining the way her eyes moved and wondering what the animal was thinking, Dr. Dyer and his chief assistant, Peter Sims, were discussing him.

"He almost looks like he worries about that creature's welfare," Dr. Dyers commented. He gave the other doctor a look of disdain.

"I think he looks like he wants to keep her as a pet," Peter snorted, his thin hand coming up to wipe at his nose. He made a motion of poking himself in the mouth while his tongue protruded the cheek on the opposite side, mimicking a cock pushing against his cheek. "Lonely."

Dyer laughed. It sounded like the death rattle of a tormented cat. "Keep an eye on him. I'm going to have a talk with Dr. Carver, see if we can't up the tests on this creature without the good doctor slowing down our findings." He raised an eyebrow at Peter. "When the creature has healed sufficiently for Dr. Talon's tastes let's do a few biopsies. I saw some interesting organs inside the bitch. I want some to clone. And then I want to work on fire with her; let's see how much she can take."

RE: Me and Traveler - What have we done...

Svara didn't know what was going on, the creatures with strange languages were talking about something. She watched one of the doctors, the one that seemed to be enraged, walk up to her and look into her eyes. She took that moment to lock eyes with him for a brief time to see glimpses of what he knew. She picked up a few basic words, a couple advanced words, and basic English to sort of understand what in the world was being said. She had locked eyes with him long enough to transfer a couple of things to him on accident, one of the things she transferred was a view of her home, seeing it destroyed by the humans which forced her to investigate, other things were small, pieces of her language on accident, things that he wouldn't notice for quite some time. She broke eye contact when one of the doctors screamed. He had touched one of the blades that had been cutting her earlier, the blade itself and the table it lay on was made of titanium, however, when he touched it it not only got on his hand but on the handle of the blade. At first everyone would have expected the man to have cut himself, but no, this was much more sinister. Sarence made a soft sound, as if laughing. Talon would have heard 'Deserved...' as her language would have slightly translated.

"You idiot, why did you touch the blade?" Like a monkey, the man walked over and touched the handle, he too started to scream. He had expected because the man touched the blade he had cut himself, but this was much stranger. "T-The blood!!!" he tried to hold his hand but only succeeded in getting the blood on his other hand, screaming more. He rushed to the sink and washed both hands off, the blood having left third degree burns. The other washed off his hand, the same burns. They both looked to the cat who seemed to be smirking behind the muzzle at them. "You fucking piece of shit..." The guy said, angry that he was so stupid, blaming it on the cat instead of his own stupidity. It didn't take brains these days to become a scientist, apparently.

"don't touch the blood, its' acid." He said, treating his hands with burn ointment.

The cat glanced over at Dr. Talon and if he didn't know any better, he would have sworn she had been laughing.

Dr. Carver observed the deck, watching as they scrambled. "Dr. Dyer, Dr. Sims, Dr. Raymos, Dr. Krao. You are to take precautions with this beast. It's clearly got a lot more to hide than we know. Do not go cutting it up wildly. The last thing we need is for that creature to self destruct or something and for that blood to get into all of our nervous systems. That being said. Do a full biopsy of this creature. I want all organs removed, examined, and replaced. Catalog them. See which organs the creature would die without, keep the ones it doesn't need out of it's body for further examination." He paused. "And you, Dr. Talon. You're to oversee and perform the surgeries. No mistakes. Or I'll have your job removed." He cut the loud speaker.

RE: Me and Traveler - What have we done...

Talon heard Dr. Carver's words, but it took a moment for him to react to the orders. In his opinion it would have been wiser to have healed the creature first and then conduct more experiments when she was at her full potential, but the head surgeon was someone that no one crossed. Not if they hoped to advance in their field.

He started to protest about keeping the 'unnecessary' organs out for further examination. Creatures had nothing that wasn't 'necessary'. They were designed purposely to have things inside of them. Even the spares, like the duplicate kidneys, were there for a reason. But Dr. Carver ha cut the speaker and turned away, and Talon knew that any argument would fall on deaf ears, or if he was especially unfortunate, they'd fall upon the ears of a wrathful boss who took pleasure from other's misfortune.

"You heard him," he said as he turned to the other doctors. "We're going to do his full biopsy," he narrowed his eyes as he looked at the creature. "But first, we need to undo everything that was done this morning. Clean her up and close the wounds. Wash the work surface down so that we can see what are fresh spills. I also want her hydrated; find a way to get her water. If she's like other creatures on this planet then she drinks water just like all the others."

He turned to the pretty girl at his side, an assistant whose name he had forgotten. "Prepare surgical outfits for the doctors and myself, and have someone help you to sterilize all our equipment. The last thing we want is to unintentionally infect her with one of our human pathogens and throw all the results of our tests out the window for being sloppy." As he said this he eyed the other doctors, who seemed to put more emphasis on tormenting than on science.

His attention was drawn back to the small woman in front of him. "I'm sorry, I've forgotten your name." He couldn't remember it but he thought it was something old-fashioned and elegant. "I want you to be my personal assistant on this. Can you manage?"
