So, I was thinking about the Witcher games, and musing that a combination of Ranger and Alchemist would be an excellent way to model a character like Geralt in Pathfinder. Then I realised I'd be interested in GMing a campaign about such a character - the adventures of a monster-hunting medieval exterminator in a gritty but fantastical world oozing superstition - and smut. Not using the world of the novels and games specifically, but with a similar tone and flavour (and, it should go without saying, an original character).

Would anyone be interested in playing such a character? Either a multiclassed Ranger/Alchemist or a Gestalt blending thereof. Level is negotiable... I could see it being either low-level (1-2), mid-level (usually my favourite range, around 6-8), or a little higher (9-12... though in my opinion the system starts to break down around here).

Heya, just recently got done with a Witcher marathon myself, going from the first to the third game in a single sweep. (boy talk about exhaustion!) and I've been wanting to try out a Witcher inspired game for some time. Even went so far as to set one up myself, though our group had to disband a few sessions in due to time constraints.

I like the idea of mixing a Ranger and Alchemist character, as you said, it has the right feel of a Witcher.
And while my Pathfinder is a bit rusty, it's been awhile since my last game, I've had extensive 3.5 experience, so I think it'll translate well enough.

So yeah, if that all sounds great to you, then I'd at least be super interested. As for level, I'm thinking that 6-8 would be good, it leaves room for progression along with the story while not being entirely new to the whole thing. (The character, that is.)

Anyway, let me know if you have any questions in regards to this.
