It had been days since Himeko Dawnsorrow and her pack had left for their journey. "Keep up or you'll be left behind! Make sure the young and old are also taken care of!" She barked as they made their way through the woods. She had to move her entire pack due to the fact that their previous home had been found out by humans and were being hunted. They had managed to escape the humans and were safe now, but still she knew if she didn't lead her pack to a more safe and secure place to settle down for their new home. The heat was beating heavily down on them and their rations were running low, meaning they would have to hunt soon. It had been years since her father, the previous pack leader had died and with her being his only heir, she had no choice but to take up as their new leader. She didn't mind it though, she liked being the leader and she took pride in it. As they kept moving forward she took note into everything around them, making sure that they weren't being followed. The further they went into the woods the more things started to get strange, there was a unnatural fog starting to roll in, making things harder for her to see what was in front of her own face. "Where in the bloody hell did all this fog come in from?!" She growled as she turned to look behind her, however she could not see nor hear the rest of her pack.
"Hey where are you all?!" She called out and to her dismay, silence, dead silence. Not a single sound could be heard and that's when it hit her, she was all alone and somehow this mysterious fog was responsible for it. "Maybe somehow I just wasn't paying enough attention, maybe they moved on without me or something... Yeah that's gotta be it!" She said as she made her decision to move forward, yet what she didn't realize was that where she was now headed was to a forbidden part of the woods. A place where she had been told stories of since she was little. For hours she wondered the woods with the thick and heavy fog looming over the place, it wasn't till she had been walking for so long that the fog was starting to slowly lift. "About damn time..." She mumbled to herself and once she was clear of the fog she started noticing very weird and bizarre things in her new surroundings. The plants here were huge, colorful, yet something seemed off with them, as if they had a life of their own, a mind of their own to be more precise. Something about this place wasn't right to her and the further she went in, the more the woods were starting to stir with her very presence just being there. It had been so long since anyone had ever lost their way and ventured into this part of the woods, and the place was very much alive as was the creatures that dwelled there.
Her ears twitched as she started hearing noises around her, causing her to stop and start looking around her surroundings frantically. "Hello? Lilly? Drake? Is anyone there?!" She called out expecting to hear the voices of her pack, yet all she heard was strong movement. But her voice didn't fall on deaf ears, instead it only caused the creatures and life forms to really come life now. Not long after calling out to her companions her nose started picking up a sweet scent, one that was irresistible to ignore and she ended up finding herself turning to follow where the scent was coming from. Going in deeper to the woods she started noticing more and more of the vibrant plants and when she came into a clearing she noticed a very large, larger than any plant or whatever it was that she had seen thus far here. It was as if she was completely drawn to the thing and as she got closer to it she noticed it started to move. Stopping in her tracks, just mere inches away from it, she could swear she was seeing what looked like vines starting to form from the plant. She started backing up when the thing started moving closer to her, and the vines she noticed were slimy, covered in some sort of goo or whatever. She started to turn to run when suddenly, as if the thing knew she was about to flee, grabbed her ankle with one of its slimy vines and tripped her. As she fell she could feel herself starting to be pulled towards the thing and the scent from before was starting to grow very heavy now, causing some of her senses to grow dull as she fought and struggled to escape, sadly it was all in vain. What would happen next is something she did not expect nor saw coming, but one thing was starting to become clear to her, she was trapped and she feared she'd never escape this place and get back to her pack...
