What kinds of things would you recommend for a thread title for a request thread? Mine seems a bit wordy, but what do you think would draw people in?

You might want to include the pairing types you're interested in writing (ie MxF, FxF, MxM, MxFuta, MxAnything, FxAnything as examples) and maybe something indicating if you are searching for a writing partner who is Dom or sub or vanilla. Things of that nature. I'd include these things in your actual Request Thread as well. Be very explicit in your wants to help paint the picture of what you're looking for, otherwise it'll just take you longer and many trials and errors to find a writing partner who suits your needs. Hope that helps. : )

er, how do I start a thread of my own? lets say I am looking for an experienced female writer to join me? I know how to reply to someone else's thread, just not how to start my own. thanks. Zee

Yeah. Sure....in fact, going through my PMs now, I see you asked this very question. : ) But, I'll answer here so that others can see in case they are wondering too. Anyway, to make a new thread, when you go into a section (such as General Discussion or Request Threads for Males, General Roleplay, etc etc etc), you'll see a button/link on the upper right that says 'New Thread'. Click it and you can go from there. Should be self explanatory after that. XD Though if you have follow up questions, don't hesitate to ask. : )

For starters, put the thread in the forum that will apply to what gender you intend to play (e.g. if you're going to play a male character, put it in roleplay requests for males, roleplay requests for females if you're going to play a female character, and roleplay requests for uncategorized other for anything else). After that, you can follow darkangel's above advice, along with looking around other requests threads to see examples of how people format them, what they include (ideally some basic 'yes' and 'no's, rules, and an idea of what you're looking for, whether that be a specific sort of plot or miscellaneous plots and/or pairings).

And as for replying to people's threads, it's usually a good idea to PM them instead with what you have in mind; people tend to pay attention to PM's for rp requests more than replies to their threads.

Hope all this helps!
