Character Sheets
If I've given you permission to fill out a character sheet, then your next step starts here. Copy the code provided below, fill it to the best of your ability and then feel free to post it as a reply in this thread. I have asked that you post your character sheet rather than message it to me, so that you may edit it over time as you like and new ideas come to you.
If you have been accepted to apply as a character, even after you're finished with your sheet, I request you try and stay active in the original OOC/coordination thread's discussions so that I know you didn't just apply and then fall off the map. If I see you are not active on that thread, I will have no choice but to think you've lost interest and moved on. As you're creating and evolving these characters, I highly recommend you get in contact with fellow applicants and, indeed, even me to discuss plausible plot hooks and relationship notes pre-existing the role play's start off. Maybe even stage a few one-shot IM RP's to get a feel for how characters inter-relate naturally. Characters with backgrounds involving each others are more likely to get accepted than those with a "stand alone" complex
Roles
These are loosely termed roles, described only by their job on the ship. I leave histories, personalities and the works to you, the players.
Red = taken/reserved
Bold = open but with applicants
Plain = open without applicants
Captain ~ Professor Eiranne
Nigh unquestioned in authority and mission-direction, though generally remaining distant socially.
Navigator/Pilot
Unofficial "keeper" of the ship, the few times this character does leave this ship, it is not for very long or very far or of their own will power.
Quartermaster/ First Mate
Job description: whip cracker. Associates with the captain more than any other.
Engineer/ Technician
Keeps things running (especially the ship); co-manages resource retrieval equipment.
Medic/ Technician
Keeps crew running; co-manages resource retrieval equipment.
Weapons Tech
More of a "jack of all trades" role, rather than a weapons specialist (since everyone on the bloody crew better know their way around a damn weapon). "Capable" or "accomplished" would be the best ways to describe the character of whomever fills this.

Chronicles
three or more decent paragraphs about your characters history. please go into depth. Diseases? Psychological disorders? Tragic pasts are pretty common in the human race at present; there is not one human alive that hasn't lost a direct family member, if not to the Hungry, then to the plagues and diseases that abounded when Mars was first terraformed. Make sure there is some detail regarding previous experience and training with your character - these people are the best of the best at survival, but they weren't born that way. It's also in this section that you'd bring in relationships with the crew, if you have any (make sure you talk with other applicants before simply just posting these relationships).
