The club had a dark vibe about it. The music pounding, temperature rising as the mortal crowd danced the night and their lives away. Well, most of them were mortals. Clubs like this one was Emma's favorite kind of hunting ground. Never a shortage of those willing to go out back for a midnight quickie in the back seat of some car or against the alleyway walls. Never a shortage of someone to satisfy her sexual needs and satisfy her hunger afterwards as well. Such was the live of a vampire.
Having seen her last sunrise over 150 years ago, Emma was a name long lost to her. She had been many names over the years. Each one to help her blend in with the time and place she settled for a decade or so before she would move on and gain herself a new name. Now, in the underground of New York City, she was Kayla. Her persona this time was something naughty. She always like to be naughty since in life she had been so good and sweet. Kayla was a dancer. Not exotic. Go-go in clubs just like this one. It was her night off, so it was time to see if anyone she had spotted in the past and took and interest in was around.
This night, as she scooped out the room, she was undecided on what she felt like sampling. Hopefully, when she saw what she wanted, she'd know it and the hunt would be on. She stood up on a landing above the dance floor, looking down over the bumping, grinding masses below. One of them would not see the sunrise. Time to pick which one.
