A pop up notification for subscribed threads with new posts

Firstly, sorry if this is a dumb/answered question. I tried to search for it but came up empty handed.

What I was wondering was if it would be possible to be alerted by a pop up notification whenever a subscribed thread has new posts instead of having to check the User CP, similar to how we're notified when we receive a new PM. Could that be possibly implemented or would it be impractical?

To my knowledge, BMR does not have this function.

No we don't. And it has been brought up before as a feature to incorporate down the line if able. So it is definitely noted. : )
