There comes a point in an Orc Raid where the pretense of winning and turning the tribe raiding force back gives way. The point where it's about minimizing the damage, getting as many people to safety as possible, and desperately hoping the force realizes it's better to let the village survive for future raiding than killing everyone.
This is the point where Lerisa's prayers, and the spells that accompanied them, changed. No longer was she trying to repulse the attack. Now she was simply trying to buy time for others to take cover.
Lerisa was of average height for a human woman, cute rather than gorgeous, with her blue robes hinting at a form beneath them more feminine then they could fully show. Her deep auburn hair was kept long and braided out of her way, and the most noteworthy part of her was her green eyes, bright, and some said magical. For now they shone with the effort of protecting the people of Two Rivers, as she chanted prayers to fuel her shielding spells.
