  • Thank you for viewing. This thread is my documentary of those I've met on the community known as Blue Moon. To give back to this network I've decided to give the only thing I can at this time; Art. Portraits of the people I have come to "know" for better or "worse". References pictures are taken from the Photo Thread in general discussion at my own discretion. In an effort to pursue the better of my artistic talents, I have decided to build a portfolio out of these faces. These pictures are not only for my own personal growth, but will also act as a gift or celebration of the person in question. The subject of each picture is chosen based on who I would like to draw, and will have no relevance to how a feel about the person in question; no show of favoritism or pictures of only my friends. If you would like to request a picture of yourself, a family member, or any sort of REAL person, please request. Do no request a piece that is excessive graphic. "Artistic" nudity is acceptable.

Enjoy the beauty of Blue Moon and make sure you stay tuned for updates!

Disclaimer: If for some reason you do not wish for me to use your photo's for reference please PM me and I will take the art piece down. If you wish to buy a print contact me. But, seeing as how I do not believe anyone will. I will not go into details.[/list:u]

  • This picture is of a charasmatic beauty, Ruby. A supportor of Blue Moon she often deals a lot in privacy, but occasionaly graces us with her presence. Often in the photo thread, or random info. This picture was created with conte' crayons. I used a lot of orange and yellow hues, and used the blue and greens to create a sense of depth along her jaw. Complimentary colors make the values seem more rich. Overall, I am very happy with the product and hope she is aswell. XOXO-Bunny.[/list:u]

    • This picture is of the lovely, devious and clever, Havy. A regular upon Blue Moon you can find her sweet temper mostly availabe in the chat box. An establised writer with a gift of empathy. This picture was created, again with conte' crayons. I used mostly reds, and blues to perfect her. My darling, you are beautiful, and I enjoyed drawing your classic beauty. XOXO-Bunny.[/list:u]

      • Our Queen! Salute her! As her name demonstrates, so pretty; she'll make you sin. Again, created with conte' crayons. Started with blues and pinks. Layering colors ontop of one another. XOXO-Bunny [/list:u]

        Kikora
        • A beauty all her own this picture was very difficult for me. The reference photo was a high contrast picture, which seemed to be slightly blurred. Therefore, I had to squint and hope I got the basis of her features correct. But, at least I have her blue hair! Created with conte crayons. I used mostly blue and pink. Enjoy, Kik- XOXO-Bunny [/list:u]

          Nyoko
          • A lovely girl, with spirit and strength. This picture was also difficult for me, lack of lighting in the eyes, for she has beautiful dark brown eyes, like myself. She also had a lovely grin, hard to capture with crayons, as they tend to be thick and smear easily, making it hard to do the lines needed for dental work- I'm no dentist. I implied her beautiful smile. Enjoy, Nyoko! XOXO-Bunny [/list:u]

            Alex
            • A beauty in yellow. I'm actually unhappy with this picture as I did it when I was rather upset. But, I suppose that gives more passion to your picture, Alex.[/list:u]

News Alert: I'd also like to point out to all, that it doesn't have to be simply of you. I'm taking commissions for everything, especially with the Holiday coming up. I'm not sure what kind of people you live with, but my parents always love a good portrait. It means more. You can even lie and say you paid for it. Just as long as I get credit for the piece. I"d be more than happy to mail you a print for a small fee if you find it acceptable. You can then frame it and it will look rather professional. If you wish for the original, then discussions can be made for pricing. As of now, with the portraits I'm doing. I'm thinking about 40.00 per (depending on the cost of the printing. I'm not going to simply photocopy it. I'd have to go to a real printers. If you'd want the original, I'm going to make a wild guess of about 80.00 since, well... it's the original. Any full body art will be upwards of 100, not including printing bills. Double for the original. For multiple figures, well.. lets not get into that for now. I will do children, babies, family portraits anything. All prices can/will be negoitable. Remember, this is only if you want something tangible outside the printable version of the art. If not, it will continue to remain free up until this point. So, if you have a commission you want to give as a gift of some sort, now would be a great time to send it in. I will be away before Christmas so all orders have to be done before the 19th of December. Thank you : D

[ ]The Start[ ]

  • I constantly take pictures of my art work in different stages for many reasons. One reason is to make sure that any flaws are fixed in the begining stages, a camera helps me view these flaws-- in otherwords, they are easier to see when viewed from a different perspective. Another reason, is I truly enjoy watching how the picture unfolds. These picture are all real, and no form of computer enchancement was used, saved for perhaps some cropping. The colors are real. I use a technique usually only present in paintings; layering. I have an eye for color, and for other artist wanting to understand, there is never any black. Black will dull your picture and make it look less vibrant. Use complimentary colors to create a rich, deep shadow.

Also remember, with skin tones that it always starts with a green or blue. Why? Because the veins and blood of your body can somtimes be seen through the tints of your skin. Then you may build up your artwork from there. I choose to let each color I place on the paper come through. If you are a painter you may know this as "glazing". But, remember, this is used with crayons. If you're interested in seeing the first stages of the artwork, here they are:[/list:u]

  • Hey, looking nice! I really like the picture, everything from the lips that just pop, Ruby does have great lips, to the look in her eye. The colors fit her rather well, as she definitely a warm color kind of person. Keep up the good work![/list:u]

Thank you. Your picture pretty much did all the work, Ruby. It's stunning. As of now, I'm having my mother put a border on it and frame it. : ) I'm sorry all you get is the pixel version taken with a crappy camera.
