The year is 3535, nearly everything is now connected to the net, even people... After a person turns five, they are implanted with an interface port. This allows them to upload their avatar and explore the net as if it was the physical world, since the body is nothing without the mind, whatever happens to your avatar also affects your physical body.

The next generation of hackers and spies have use the net as a means to fulfill their objectives. As a result corporations have developed sophisticated labyrinths that act as their firewalls and system defenses, but this quickly proved to be ineffective against attackers. As a secondary line of defense, these corporations have hired convicts to upload themselves into the labyrinth and attack any intruder they encounter. As payment for their services, their sentences will be reduced allowing them the possibility of freedom sooner.

In this future, IntelliCorp has its hands inside everything. They are the leaders in medicine, technology, and entertainment. They are currently working on a technology that would allow for a more realistic interface inside the net. As this is a closely kept secret, as a result, rumors and speculations float around the net. And other corporations will do anything they can to get a hold of it, and it is quite common to hire hackers and spies to do the dirty work.

IntelliCorp is no different in it's methods of defending it's systems. However, they have hired the most ruthless and vile convicts to patrol their labyrinths. Most of these convicts are locked away for sex crimes and murder. Unlike other corporations, IntelliCorp utilizes a multi-leveled labyrinth. Making access to the core systems that much harder. Each level is harder than the last and the convicts that roam each level is more ruthless than the last.

The air shimmered, as Syndella materialized - (ID: 2109814-B) - a soft giggle teased from the lovely hacker's lips, her feet arched high on heeled boots. She was in...All that time spent prepping for the infiltration was *worth* it, after all. IntelliCorp's security had been a hard chestnut to crack, but - It'd fallen eventually, like all things when you spend enough time and effort.

It helped that she was genius at this, of course. The lovely Data Angel's slim fingers rose, brushing stray strands of glossy blue hair back from her lovely features...Her deep brown eyes bright with delight, full lips curved in a slow, lazy smile of satisfaction. In her skintight costume, the one-piece suit clinging to the full curves of her form, the virtual vixen couldn't have looked more out of place...If not for the shimmering mist of her Masking utility, obscuring her presence from view. It was a point of pride that this was based off her real body - Those luscious proportions without a hint of exaggeration - her hips rolling smoothly as she paced forward, the kitty-ear nerve clips pinning her hair back catching the light.

"Now...Where should I start~?" Syndella mused aloud, her voice a low, husky purr - Slim fingers tracing the command in the air, holographic windows materializing...Beginning to circle the gorgeous hacker, in a slow dance. This was the most unusual system she'd seen, to tell the truth...But once she got the data and made it out, she'd have a *real* story to boast about. For now, she'll active her Scan utility...To get a good idea of where she was, and where she might go~!

This was going to be a run to remember.

"Intruder detected! Deploying security measures to infected area." the security AI said as it started to reroute all network defenses towards the intruder. "60 seconds until threat containment!" the AI started to countdown of when the intruder would be found and dealt with.

The AI sent in what are called "sentinels" who's job is to protect the core systems. The immune system of the network would best decribe them. As they surrounded the intruder they shouted out "You have 10 seconds to upload security codes. Failure to do so will result in detainment and further actions will be determined. 10... 9... "

The security director ordered all his men to upload into the system in the event that a authorization code was not given. "Men! I want all of you into your interface chairs. We might have a threat in progress. Upload and gear up!" Each of the guards sat in their respective interface chairs and uploaded themselves into the system and awaited further instructions.

Syndella, of course, didn't have any idea that this was happening! Her brow furrowed, ever-so-slightly; The virtual vixen's full lips pursed, her eyes narrowing as a flicker of premonition coursed up her spine...She certainly didn't know that people were already scrambling to intercept her, or that the jaws of the trap were beginning to close.

But when the sentinels shimmered into existence around her, a gasp of unalloyed surprised purred from her lips. These were rather more extensive defenses than she'd expected...But she'd come prepared~!

"So how about this~?" Syndella inquired - Bringing her slim fingers together, then parting her hands; A holographic window materializing between the span of hands. The closest approximation of the security codes she could manage - Hopefully this would satisfy 'em~!

The sentinels scanned the code in her hand and sent it back to the security office for further review. The security director opened the code and cross referenced it with any and all codes that have been issued. The code matched a partial of one that was issued a month ago to a contractor, the director patched himself into one of the sentinels and a video window materialized in front of the intruder.

"Who are you? And state your business here?" he asked and waited for a reply. Seeing who the code was issued to, he was more or less testing the intruder to make sure it wasn't a malicious event.

With his hands outside the frame of view, he pressed a couple of buttons that would make the next entry into the core systems to be routed to the labyrinth rather than the regular access gateway.
