On a dark and thunderous evening, the three girls were having a slumber party. Jennifer invited classmates, Bridgette and Megumi, to stay over for the weekend since her parents were out for some kind of business trip. It was just a normal sleepover for each of them. Each of them are currently in their second year of high school. The girls gossiped about the hot boys that each were eyeing on and watched a couple of girly movies as well to pass the time. Jennifer listened over the radio that the weather was getting worse by the house. Powers were also down in the neighbourhood. The house went completely dark a well an hour later.
Jennifer got up for her bed and took out some kind of book that she found somewhere on the street. Opening the book to the summoning section, she got to the part that told her how to summon a demon. A little bit of the page was ripped off at the bottom, but it was just labelled as an extra note so she figured it wasn't horribly important.
âLook what I got in my hand ladies,â the redhead said to her friend as she showed them the big black book. Bridgette and Megumi looked at her with curiosity in their eyes. They didnât know that Jennifer was into magic like thatâthinking that she was trying to be like Hermonie from the Harry Potter series.
âAre you trying to summon something that we believe do not exist?â Megumi asked Jennifer as she looked over to Bridgette for some opinion. âDo you really believe that sheâs going to summon a creature that can only be found in make believe books?â
âPlease. I mean if she can summon a unicorn here, Iâll be impressed. Besides, summoning the unknown is dangerous you know. If she foul something up, who knows what might show up and haunt all of us,â the purple-haired Japanese girl said to Bridgette in agreement. They can really think that their friend was way over her head tinkering with a magic book.
âCome on girls. We got nothing else to do anyways and not our bedtime yet. Itâs only going to take a few minutes. Youâll see.â Jennifer tried to assured them that it was going to be something cool. âTrust me on this. Iâve never let yaâll down before and Iâm not going to start now.â Doing everything the book instructed, she shut all the doors in the house, and turned off the lights, grabbing six candlesâone to see by and the other five to make the five-pointed star for the summoning circleâshe then set those in their respective circles. With chalk, she drew a perfect circle, making a five-pointed star with each point having a candle on the end.
âThere...â She murmured, done with the set up. Lighting all five of the candles she then stood in the middle of the circle with a sharp and untainted knife in her hand. According to the book, there was only one thing left to do. Holding her hand straight out in front of her, she cut her palm lightly, but hard enough to draw blood. Putting her wounded hand palm down to the floor, she waited for a drop of her blood to hit the floor, in the center of the star along with her. She could only hope that this would work, and that she wasn't making a complete fool out of herself in front of her friends.
