High above a clifftop soared a dragon that had a sort of dirty look to it. This particular dragon however had shown a unique interest in a very interesting human. The specific human that the female dragon had taken an interest in was currently trying to win over the dragon in a show of determination and ferocity. He had come here every day for the last three months trying to wrangle a dragon to the point where he could get it to submit and acknowledge him as a worthy individual to ride. Many times he had failed, and quite a few times he had almost died. One of the four times that he had been tossed off the dragon he was riding he was too far from the cliff face in order to pierce the massive two handed sword into the stone wall and slow his descent. The only thing that saved him was this very uniquely colored and seemingly alone dragon. At first the man thought that he was going to be attacked and eaten by the female dragon, but her actions surprised him. With a quick flick of her tail she sent him careening towards the cliff, which allowed him to stop his fall. From that point forward, the red haired young man focused all his attention on the single dragon who had a very unique color and pattern.
Currently the red haired swordsman was spinning a long metallic chain above his head. He stood on a tree that jutted out the side of the cliff face and angled upward towards the sky. The chain he spun had a loop in it which would tighten if he managed to lasso the chain around the dragons leg or neck. She flew over head of him in tight circles making it difficult for him to judge when to release the chain and try to catch the dragon's leg. "I, CONNOR CROWE WILL CAPTURE YOU TODAY DRAGON!" shouted the red headed man. Connor Crowe was an orphaned child, he was someone who was always looked down upon and never given the proper care or training that other males received. As such he was never allowed to train with appropriate sized swords to his body. He had only ever been able to train with the man's sword who had taken him in. The Captain of the Guard, and a veteran Dragoon had taken Connor under his own wing and decided that it would be best for the boy to not take part in the rigorous activities the other healthy children did. But Connor didn't approve of this, and did his best to learn how to wield a sword in private. The result of this was the ability for Connor to use a sword that was equal to the size of his own body. Shield Buster, the sword on his back was heavy enough that no other man was able to lift it without the use of both hands, and still they struggled. But Connor swung it one handed, and seemingly effortlessly too.
Watching the dragon closely, he observed her beautifully colored wings, and noticed that she turned slightly, enough that it would break her from her tight circle she was flying. Sending the chain flying, Connor felt it uncoiling from around his waist as it soared through the air. She was high enough up that the chain disappeared out of his sight. Then suddenly the chain jerked forward and Connor was torn from the tree. YES! thought Connor, until he looked down at the ground below him. She had taken off flying faster than before, and Connor was starting to second guess his decision of trying to catch her in mid-flight. Slowly, bit by bit, Connor climbed up the chain towards the body of the dragon which he discovered as he got closer and closer. Was a little bit smaller in frame then he originally thought she was. But he also realized that she was extremely strong at flying, and her back was heavily built with muscle to support rapid speeds that other dragons couldn't dream of exceeding or even reaching with their size.
"YOU! WILL! BE! MINE!" Connor screamed out as the dragon took him for a ride.
