It wasn't so scary, Alexa thought. She almost laughed aloud at the idea of this place being haunted. Those creaks weren't ghosts or demons creeping about; it was just the age of the mansion showing itself. To think that the others might be terrified right now!
She looked over the dust-covered books in the mansion's library, the flashlight tucked into the pocket of her white blouse shining upon the titles of each book. Most of the titles were in some other language, once she didn't recognize on sight, and the ones that were in English seemed to be about "magic" or "arcane arts". The things people believed...
Alexa took one book off of the shelf, opening the cover with an amused smile on her face. Brushing a lock of her blonde hair out of the way of her hazel eyes, the girl skimmed the text, chuckling at the things the people who wrote the text believed. If only the others were here...but they were off somewhere, and Alexa suspected that they'd believe it was true as well. There was no such thing as ghosts, she thought as she slid the book back onto the shelf.
