Alexander had everything. At 19 his position in life was enviable. His parents had inherited a great deal of money and various business interests, hence throughout his life heâd had the best of everything. His first car was a Porsche, he attended the best schools and there was no form of amusement that he could not pursue. Nor would many have tarred him with the label âspoiledâ or âstuck upâ, for while he was undoubtedly the first his nature was reasonably generous. Given his means this made him an excellent friend and acquaintance.
Alexander was quite fond of sports, basketball in particular. Perhaps this suited him as he was quite exceedingly tall at six feet and five inches in height. His height was matched with rather broad shoulders, and his frame was quite athletic. Indeed he was sufficiently gifted in that respect to be playing basketball on an entirely unnecessary scholarship. His features were handsome, a slightly swarthy complexion, combined with dark hair and eyes gave him a rather classical look. Although his eyes ever seemed to glimmer with mischief.
But good looks, an easy manner and the ability to do anything one wanted to did lead to some trouble, almost entirely over girls. Various brothers, fathers and boyfriends seemed to have some difficulty with his self professed desire for a different flavour for every day of the week. Although that transient quality didnât seem to bother too many women until he tired of them, at which time it became the most egregious of things.
Hence now as he walked through the door of his friend Thomasâ house, a mere step behind his friend his reputation preceded him. Thomas had quite naturally forbidden and strongly discouraged his sister Theresea from having anything to do with him whatsoever, having altogether too good an idea of what was likely to transpire. Thus Alexander could spy a flicker of irritation on his friendâs face that the rather slender brunette was in the living room as they arrived.
A bemused smile graced his lips as he nodded to the girl. He leaned in towards Thomas and murmured something that was inaudible to anyone else. Although Thomasâ response of âI will kill you if you even think about it.â Perhaps gave away what had been spoken of. A laugh was all that answered that particular warning and without much further being exchanged they headed down towards the basement and the pool table found there.
