The shifter stood thinking of what to do next. She was sure she had time, she had eaten and sold off most of what she had stolen. Perhaps she should go home and hide the money she had gotten from the sales, but she still had time to do that. It was only mid day after all and vampires could only come out at night, she still had time to decide if she even wanted to go to her home or maybe build a new one in another city.... maybe even continent. She hated traveling across water but she was sure that the vampire would have trouble finding her if she did. A smile grew, yes, she could run, if she knew the places to run to, she could hide on another continent, maybe even jump ship and swim to an island somewhere. Julia relaxed a bit. It finally looked like there was some amount of hope to her dismal situation. She smiled and took what she thought would be her last glance up at the window and spotted the vampire on the balcony. He couldn't be there! It had to be a trick! This was the middle of the day! There was no way!
Her eyes widened in shock and fear, he was gone the next instant but her heart still raced inside her chest, her breath quickened, everything in her said run. This had to be a mistake. Maybe she was just seeing things, so worried about him she thought she saw him, it was just her mind playing tricks on her. She tried to convince herself of this and it nearly worked, then she heard his voice behind her. Her whole form went ridged, and what a beautiful form it was, through all of it fake it was enough. She hadn't had time to move when he suddenly latched onto her hips and burred his face into her neck. A startled fearful cry escaped her as he did and she winced with expectant pain, but the pain didn't come. The girl shuddered feeling his tongue on her neck, hot blood pulsing fast just beneath the flesh to her tender neck. The false skin was soft and pale, unwittingly perfectly desirable for a vampire. Realizing this the girl crushed herself and wished she had wondered as a hag and not as a young beauty.
Having him this close was frightening and his words did nothing to help ease her nerves. She closed her eyes and tried to calm her speeding heart, it was a neat trick she had learned over the centuries, It was good for hiding and changing, after all, certain creatures were so calm it was almost comatose. Sh felt him let her go and though she wanted to run she knew she would make it two steps tops before he caught her. She wondered what he would do to her if she tried but she was pretty sure she didn't want to find out. When she opened her eyes again she had calmed herself considerable and he was standing in front of him. She looked him up and down, taking in all the little details she could. At least she knew it wasn't immunity to the sun that allowed him to come out. The hoodie would keep the sun off him and keep him from being burned, though it no doubt looked strange she knew that strange was better than dead. Though she had calmed herself it wasn't to the extent she would have liked, paralyzing fear turned to frightened. Calm would have been better but you can only so so much with what you have.
Next thing she knew he had her hand and he was leading her to the building. She caste a glance over her shoulder, no one was looking, she wondered if they had even noticed what had happened but even if they did they would have never guessed the extent to how horrible it was. Though she knew where he lived in the building she let him lead her there though once they got there she wasn't expecting him to start undressing. Her face flushed as she became just vaguely aware that he was attractive but even though it was just a small bit of her that noticed she didn't want to expand upon the idea she did her best to kill the idea quickly. "Will you put some cloths on!" she yelled at the man, quickly turned away and shifting into her true form. Her dress tightened around her legs until it formed itself into a pair of blank ridding pants, the top loosening into a white blouse covered by a black vest that matched the pants. Her long golden curls shortened and straightened into shoulder length coppery color that it naturally was. Her ears pointed and her eyes brightened form a beautiful blue until they were the color of the finest gold.
Juli staid standing with her back to the door, she decided that this had to be the safest place to be, on her feet, close to the exit and without him ale to appear behind her and surprise her like he had done while they were outside. "My day was wonderful until you showed up." she told him before remembering the money she had gotten for selling her goods. But he was a murderer, not a thief, he wouldn't take it, right? The small purse hadn't been something she made, she hadn't changed it as often as she did the cloths on her back so it had resisted the change and still lay firmly balled in her hand. "I thought vampires couldn't come out during the day, you were supposed to sleep until night." she said a bit irritated, if he had she could have need half way across the world by then. She crossed her arms across a modest chest. The girl had a naturally lithe body like that of a ballerina, in fact, she wouldn't look too out of place in a tutu. The girl didn't look directly at him, at least he wasn't naked this time. "I swear, don't you have any modesty?" She yelled at him, wishing that he could, just once, keep his cloths on.
