Well it may due to a lack of explanation. I for one have no clue what EXO is, but it could be form a TV sow, Movie, or maybe even the company near where I live. I believe the latter is probably not the correct one but you never know. Secondly, just because someone does not know what EXO is does not mean they are not a fan, it may have simply slipped their mind. I am a resident evil fan and forgot that S.T.A.R.S. was a thing.

So not telling anyone what EXO is from could easily be the turn off.

The second which is more the reason I would not RP (Beyond having no idea what EXO is) Is that many people do not enjoy playing a premade OC. Some may play a canon without much issue, but premade is a different case.

I gave them information on the two guys from EXO who I would be interested in them playing.
