Neith, Goddess of the hunt, was once sent to Egypt to assist in a war against another god, a god of the underworld, to save the people from a certain demise. A fierce battle ensude and she was able to conquer the other god and save the people, but used much of her powers to do so. She requested them to build a temple, hidden in the sand, filled with dangerous traps and glorious riches so that she may rest, in the deepest chamber, hidden away from the world. She took with her 2 Anubi Guards and a Grimoire book, so that if she was awakened she could summon what she needed to assist her people once more.
Butt hat time never came, and soon the temple was truly buried in the sands, hidden in darkness for hundreds of thousands of years, left, but never forgotten. The village that was built above still worships her but is oblivious there goddess lays just miles below. That is until a team of Archaeologists comes, paying the people money and supplies to do a sweep of the desert below them. They agree, so long as they leave the village unharmed, to which the team agrees. Soon enough the radar picks up the temple and they make camp 10 miles from the village and get to work, making a small hole, enough for one man to climb down and find and ancient sand cave below and support it to access the temple without disturbing the village. Alas, the Team runs out of funding and must leave, seeing the area might not be as profitable as the expense to enter the chambers.
This is where you, [young male adventurer] come in to play, your grandfather, some 50 years ago, was part of that team and you have found his journal. With a goal and a plan you set out to find the village abandoned now, the ruins of the buildings are all that remains. Yous set camp in one of the villages for the night with plans to set out tomorrow, but in your dreams you meet Neith who warns you of the perils her temple hides and says, if you needs her, cut your palm and put your blood onto the Ankh and she shall appear. Now you set off, will you find her, and if you do, will you awaken her?
