Max had made every move life had expected him to. Gone to college, done well gotten a good job with a good company. That had been six years ago.
The great life he had thought he was going to find had ended up ringing hollow. He was going nowhere in the company and his personal life was in the shitter. And so he found himself at a strip club, celebrating the engagement of the boss he hated to some bitch who got promoted by sucking cock.
He slouched in his chair, dark eyes staring at the mostly empty beer on the table in front him, scowling at the group of his co-workers gathered around the stage hurlings fist fulls of bills to the girl dancing. He ran a hand across his short, sandy colored hair then took another pull from his bottle, finishing it off. He could feel the half dozen rounds he had working their magic. He wanted to storm over to the stage and crack a bottle across the back of his prick of a bosses head. But he wasn't dunk enough for that. At least not yet. Maybe he'd see about getting himself a private dance, that could be fun.
