The radio blazed as he stood on the weight bench. His breathing was labored and his body tense as he lifted the weights. Kain was in his late thirties, but looked to be even younger then that because of his life style. He was born and raised in this town, and had even met his first love here. Though not everyone got a happily ever after like the story books. Only a few months after they'd been married, there relationship turned sour, and was quickly over. He however got over it, though it had taken a few years to come to the fact that it was for the best. Despite the past though, he still never left this place, even though he had no idea where the love of his life had gone.
"Fourty six," he grunted, counting the arm curls he did. The tattoes on his arms stretched from the strain of his muscles, his teeth bared as he forced himself to do ten more lifts then he normally did. He didn;t know why he worked so hard that day, he just felt like it, and after all it was his day off, the garage was closed due to the holidays. "Fifty seven," he counted. Just then his ears flicked as the door bell went off. He hadn;t been expecting anyone, so he guessed it was just someone trying to sell something. He ignored it for the time being, until he heard the chime go off a second time.
"Damn," he cursed, letting the weights drop from his hands before he wiped his face off with a towel. He didn;t bother putting on a shirt as he walked to the door. "Ruining my workout," he growled as he went to turn the handle. "Yeah?" he asked to whom ever was standing in his doorway.
