Mail Order Bride?
Storyline with loneysong & LoveTheWayYouLie.
Things had been rather slow in his life lately. Nicholas hadn't ever been one to think his life would slow down. The young man had been on the fast track his whole life. From the moment he was born he had been born with a silver spoon in his mouth and given the best of everything. His mother and father were the lead owners of a fortune 500 company, and made sure their children wanted for nothing.
They put their three kids through college, Nicholas being one of them. The youngest son, he finished the top of his class and went on to help the banking company with his father. The years that he took care of these things he was married, and had a little girl with his beautiful wife. But....things didn't really work out for the best. Ending in divorce just a year or so later. Nicholas had thought he was ready to focus on himself and the company as his father was starting to get on in years.
But, like it had been stated before. His life had gotten dull. Yes, he went out on dates with many different women, but none of them seemed to keep his interest. He was a hard working, and rich man so he knew that all the girls saw in him was his money. Just like his ex-wife. So, he didn't have the ability to trust alot of people in the name of love. He had tried, but had slowly taken to spending his nights with ladies that didn't want to take all of his money, by paying them.
His siblings asked on a regular bases if he was seeing anyone, and of course he said no. He was busy with work most the time. Of course that was just an excuse, and they knew it. Thats when they decided to liven things up abit for their rather gloomy brother. He ordered him a wife. Nicholas's brother Jason knew of a web site in his line of work that sold brides and husbands from all over the world to the highest bidder on a selection of looks. At first, when this had been brought up to Nicholas he was against the idea. He wasn't going to be taking on some married slave to him! That was sick!!
But when Jason explained that many of those women were desperate to get out of the countries they lived in and that coming to America to live with a rich husband was their dream. To get out of the poor lives they were living in their own personal hell. Jason explained that they were not....looking for stealing money. The mail order brides were bound to their husbands by the money they gave them, not the illegal money they got. So, they wouldn't be after Nicholas's money....just a new life. And this...tempting Nicholas into agreeing to this process.
It was the option for a new life, something interesting and remotely safe. So filling out the paper work, Nicholas picked the physical appearance of the wife he would like the most. Creamy skin, with long legs and a slim yet tight body. Long black eye lashes, and blue or green eyes. He loved thick black hair, so that was the hair color he wanted in his bride. And the country they ordered from? Russia. And the paper work, with the money was sent away. There was a three to four week waiting period to where the bride was driven right to her new home.
This, was very exciting. Nicholas felt renewed from his old slump. Getting the room next to his ready. He didn't want to come on to strong, or scare the new wife so he made sure there was an option to freedom and their own choices. But, he hoped, as they got closer that things could relax alittle. But he isn't going push it. But the rest of the house was clean as well. Today was the day...and he was almost giddy with this new little change in life.
The trees outside were starting to turn orange and reds in the change of the fall. Upper New York State was beautiful this time of year at the end of September. Nicholas fixed his shaggy blonde hair in the mirror and pressed out his gray sweater. He looked very handsome and dashing, and couldn't stop the small smile coming to his face.
The beeping sound of a car crossing the front gates went off and he smiled, walking to the large windows to see a black car pulling up to his front door. She was here. And it was time to see this new adventure.
