Inaba was shaken to its core. Two murders... first that reporter lady from the big city had come here and been killed, and then Saki Konishi -- Yosuke's crush from Junes -- was found murdered as well. And on top of that... the ridiculousness with the television, and Yosuke, and that new guy Yu...

Chie Satonaka refused to believe that the latter had even happened, much less that it had something to do with the murders. But... still. There was something to all of this, wasn't there? The stuff they found about Saki-senpai in that twisted room, and what she'd heard from the guys about their own trips across... well, it was hard to dismiss outright. Bah!

Chie was still mulling it over when she returned home that night -- the sun was going down, and her parents were at work (as was pretty typical of them), leaving her alone. "Well, that sucks," Chie sighed as she unzipped her track jacket, putting it up on the jacket hook and going to grab something to eat -- not a one of them could cook, so there was certainly a good share of easily-prepared meals and fruit around the house -- heading off to her messy room with her bag dangling on the end of one finger.

Six thirty. Siiiiiiiiix thirty. Thirty after six. No matter which way she sliced it, there was a long time until the Midnight Channel was set to start, and she could already hear the first drops of rain drumming on the roof overhead. "Mr," Chie muttered as she polished off an apple, banking it into the waste basket before she collapsed onto her perpetually-deployed futon, arms splaying out as she lazily removed her high socks with her toes.

"... guess I should mebbe nap. Who knows what will be on later?" Chie asked of herself as she reached for her cellphone. Lesse... 11:50. That'd do. She set the alarm and dropped it on the ground beside her before she flopped back over. "... now hopefully I can nap," she murmured.

She was out seconds later.

But there was something odd that evening, her mind so focused on the murders. The police had been very hush-hush with what was going on, playing their cards awfully close to the vest. Was the murderer... doing something with the bodies? Both young ladies, with the second victim barely a year older than she was. Was he... not just a murderer? It was hard to put those thoughts out of her head as they bled away into dreams...
