So basically, the same as that other topic in Music, Media and Artwork... But much, much more awesome (and yes it belongs in this forum, shut up.). The rules are simple, the song has to be a song that's from a videogame, preferably made exclusively for it. (Like, a guitar hero song totally doesn't count and you're kind of lame if you post something like that.) AND FOR GOD'S SAKE PUT UP A YOUTUBE VIDEO OR SOMETHING. Some people click these things you know. I know I'll be clicking all over the place in this topic. A short comment on what you're listening would also be a good, background information always makes for fun reading!

I'll start us off, of course.

Blazblue Continuum Shift OST - Unlimited Hazama Theme - Endless Despair - LA Vocal

I didn't even play any of the Blazblue games, not being a fighting games fan, but the more I learn about them, the more I'm tempted to. This song is just another example of how awesome the games seem to be. I stumbled upon it and immediately fell in love with it.

I love the whole soundtrack of Persona 3, and there were some great new tunes added to its remake, Persona 3 Portable. It's such a friendly, happy, somewhat jazzy tune. And of course, who couldn't relate to the lyrics "deep inside my mind"? We've all been there. It is kind of Engrishy in parts, but I attest that it adds to its charm. I could listen to this song over and over again, just chilling out and letting it melt my stresses away.

Something a little more retro this time. This game was a relatively unknown hidden gem on the NES, and probably one of the best movie licensed games ever. A top down platformer (think Zelda with jumping), relatively short but with a good learning curve. Every aspect of this game was amazing, from the shops and powerups, variety in weapons and stage designs, to the graphics (impressive at the time) and the amazing soundtrack, of which this is just one example of. It's a shame that this game was probably largely ignored for being a licensed game.

A great song, granted sad, for a good game in FFX

Firstly, anyone who knows me knows I loooooooooove Castlevania. And I mean LOVE it. I have a ton of the music on my laptop. XD That said, one of my favorite remixers is Goat. He made a fantastical tribute album--called Unchosen Paths--for Castlevania 3: Dracula's Curse and, well, all the music on it is absolutely phenomenal. If you're into metal guitar and all that... it's just GUH. XD Anyway, this particular song is a remix of 'Clockwork', which is still fairly well known for those who are into the more old school Castlevania games. Granted, not as much as stuff like 'Bloody Tears' and 'Vampire Killer' as those are recurring themes you'll hear in pretty much every game like ever. But this one is a freakin' classic and not to be missed and this version is just awesome! Plus, this remixer just has so much talent.... his stuff has to be shared.

If there's one song that perfectly fits the 50's/60's aesthetic that TF2 thrives on, it's this. From the sick licks of the theremin to the jazz beats mixing in with the general ominous tunes, it all blends perfectly together to make a quintessential track for the game.

Time to post one of my all time favorites.

A powerful piece of music from an equally powerful game. LiveALive is probably one of my favorite RPGs of all times, it's a game that's unpredictable, varied, and deals with some dark themes at times. (murder, betrayal, abandonment and isolation just to name a few) This piece of music is the 'theme' that plays whenever a chapter's final boss makes his appearance, and when you hear it, you know that something big is about to happen, the feeling of haunting and despair coming from this tune is incredible.

I like this because it captures the moments of peace that a player can enjoy while hunting down a ferocious monster. Just having one moment to observe the nature and gather materials readying yourself for the hard battle ahead. Once you find your prey the music crescendos into an epic brass piece as you face whatever wyvern or elder dragon stands in your path. I really like how it settles indicating a job well done, and how you are hailed as a hero for conquering such mighty beasts. Then the game brings you back to the hunt, where your next challenge awaits. Pushing you forward into the fray to claim your next trophy.

Rolled Blitzcrank in League of Legends ARAM, needed something fitting. Nier had one of the most impressive soundtracks in recent memory to me, rarely does an AAA title's soundtrack impress me anymore (indie games still manage it often) but this one was really something. The game was pretty great as well.

Just epic. Grandia 2 is a pretty fond memory of mine, it was a christmas gift, and strangely I got the PC version, which I still own today. Fantastic game all around.

A little Dynasty Warriors music to start my morning off on a heart-pounding note!

Doom's gunplay and mechanics already make for one of the best FPS experiences ever, but the kickass soundtrack really helped kick everything up a notch. And nothing ever got the blood pumping more than the main theme to the game, a track that made you want to do nothing more than circle-strafe demons and punch things.

Blazblue Chronophantasma - Azreal's theme - GO in SOUL

This is an interesting song. The version with vocals is called GO in SOUL, while the instrumental version is called The Tyrant. I like both versions, but I think the vocal version is slightly better. I listen to a lot of anime and video game soundtracks, and Blazblue is a soundtrack I keep coming back to. Can't wait to get Chronophantasma (the Vita version since I don't own a PS3).

Battleblock Theater - Buckle Your Pants - Stamper

The song is pretty much just self explanatory, it's a song about buckling your pants. Just like in Castle Crashers, Battleblock Theater ends with a dumb song that sticks in your head. It turns a depressing ending into something pretty funny.

I started Transistor today. I have the soundtrack to but I'm holding off on listening to the whole soundtrack until I finish the game. And it sucks. I don't even look at the track names because there might be spoilers. But there is a 'juke box' in the game that I can write down the names of songs I've unlocked and find them on youtube. And they are all. fucking. amazing.

This band, Plentakill, does League of Legends Parodies to the rythm of popular modern music. They're great! This is their song about my favorite champ, Riven, to the beat of Demi Lavato's 'Heart Attack'.

Illusion of Gaia:In The Earthen Womb

Illusion of Gaia is one of my favorite games for the SNES and the song "in the Earthen Womb" is my favorite videogame song of all time. I listen to it when i need writing or drawing inspiration.

I definitely needed this thread. Videogame music is surely one piece of art. I have lots of videogames OSTs in my phone (something that I rarely admit). This games' soundtrack in particular is awesome.
