He knows the person at the counter from school. He tells him he will give him the buck on Monday. As the two don't get along all that well the pizza boy tells him, 'no deal'. The night manager happens to come around about this time and knows the teenager as being the younger brother of one of his buddies. He takes the teenager to the side and tells him in exchange for a little 'fun' in the back room he can have the pizza for free. The teenager might accept the deal, or he might come back the following weekend after reconsidering.
