Greetings fellow Bluemoon Roleplayers,
I have been having some rough patches in roleplays the last few months since December, which is roughly when I joined. I been bogged down non stop by school work, actual work, an internship, being part of the condo board of my building, on top of life and poor health. I haven't been able to rp as much as I would like, and the last few I had on this site either fell apart because I was busy and drifted away from my partner, or I got sick of being stood up during my few moments of free time. The goal of this thread is to make an eternal setting, that I can come back to time and time again in case I get busy, while making a thread that others can join in and out of as they please.
The idea comes from an off-forum rp idea I had with a friend of mine of many years. Essentially it's a dark, grim, gritty setting, and if that is not your thing, then I might suggest skipping over this one.
The setting is set in a seedy underground club, in the world of the mafia and organized crime. Within the four walls of the establishment, underground gambling is taking place in a casino that serves also as a brothel. It is an ingenious plan in regards to raising capital for other organized crime projects, for the game are rigged so that people lose money, and the few lucky souls that do win money, spend all of it back onto the girls and boys. They can pay back for their services in the forms of chips etc.
However, as stated previously, it is a little darker than that, because a lot of the workers are people that have either been sold into their fate, indebted to the mafia, or are trying to seek out a living in the seedy slums of this forsaken town.
Ideally there would be a core of players to play the various staffs and servers etc. that will help run the thread, and then others coming in as they please and rping until they are bored or satisfied. So that's the idea, though judging by how little turn-over the open section has, don't know how long this will last. Tell me your thoughts!
