Here's my question! Regarding "new replies"

So when I bookmarked BM, I bookmarked the page where I can see if there are new posts to threads I'm watching. This morning I woke up and there was a new post in one of the threads...except not. The last post listed was me, but on the screen it was separate (above) the other threads. Was this maybe something to do with a spam message being posted there, and then deleted when the spammer was banned? Or some annoying bug? It happened once before with my request thread, but I had some creepy person trying to add me on Skype that day and PMing me here and then they had been banned before I could check the new post so I assumed that was what had happened.

I've had false positives like that happen to me before. Other than being annoying, as far as I know, there isn't a fix. Visit the thread by clicking the "last post" and it will stop showing the non-existant post.

This issue has come up before:

Unfortunately, no definitive answer has been given by the webmaster for why this actually happens. It isn't only you, though.

I hadn't noticed these questions, sorry. I haven't given that part of the software a good look, so I'm not sure why that's occurring. I can try to slot some time to looking into it if it becomes exceptionally annoying for someone.

Only possible thought is if one of the deleted members posted in such a thread.

Thank you for the responses :)

It's not exceptionally annoying, I was just curious was all :)

It's happening to everyone. I've noticed that it will pull up old threads that are subscribed by you after about a month of no activity.
