Trying to download songs

I know this might sound foolish but how do you add songs to your computer, I've done it before and have dome songs on my computer before it gotten wiped but I have forgotten how to do it. Mainly how can I go online and dl a song say Disney's: Frozen 'Let it go', do I have to join a site to get the songs I want now these days or is there another way I can downloud it for free without joining a site or buying the disk itself? The man reason im doing this is I gotten a new cell phone and trying to adds songs to it.

Downloading music for free is considered illegal. So sorry...... s.o.l.

However, iTunes has most music available for download as does Amazon. And, if you're lucky, maybe a friend who already has music you're interested in might be willing to share with you provided you share some in return. But that's probably the best you'll do.

The tell the truth I didn't realize it was illegal nor trying to do something illegal on the site. But I do thank you for the information.
